Honestly, how people can defend a man like him is beyond me. He has a record of being a prick at every club, he's unwelcome distraction yes, but that's because after what he has said to supporters who pay their hard earned money to go to support our club, he is unwelcome now.
One or two of the songs last night were maybe a touch too far, but the fact is, he has caused this himself.
There has been no apology from him, whether Slade has said they spoke and apologised, doesn't matter, is he that much of a coward to not be able to say anything to us or the club put a statement out?
If Bauer stays, Johnson should be at least 5th choice behind Pearce, Konsa, Bauer, Lennon. 6th if Tex stays too.
If we had lost last night, I guarantee people on here wouldn't be sticking up for him half as much. If he ever plays for us again, it's too soon.
wasn't quite sure what relevance the 'Roger Johnson, he sleeps with his mum' song was all about
disgusting
Clearly all the pro-Roland fans sang this as we've been told by @Leuth and others that the atmosphere was so much better with the "moaners" staying away.
Now we find out that every single pro-Roland fan booed a Charlton player and sang songs about incest.

What were the songs?
The one about his mum wasn't the best, I supported booing him and not wanting him to play for us again but a couple such as the one sleeping with his mum may have been in good jest, tounge in cheek but it was a little far, that's all.

The pro-Roland people should be ashamed.
I blame SE7 Valiants
I just got told off for them for swearing in a post about Roger Johnson being shit. I swear so much in writing (and in life) that I don't know what swear word I used or why, but it felt like being back at school.

They'll all be having their afternoon nap so its probably safe to come out from behind the sofa now.
I didn't like the booing of RoJo yesterday after the performance the lads put in. It created a negative atmosphere amongst what was a very enjoyable evening.
I do also find it seriously hard to believe that RoJo wasn't provoked during the Bury game. I've been to enough away games to witness some of the pondlife that follow Charlton. How often can you be sworn at before you react?
His comment was directed at me personally and it was in reaction to me saying "come on guys show some f*cking pride". If that's provocation then I'm guilty as charged.

I don't doubt that he directed his foul mouth at the wrong person, and he wasn wrong to regardless of what was said, but this doesn't mean he wasn't verbally abused at any other time in the game.
I have to trust you and ValleyGary, but to be honest, I can recite several stories of scumbag Charlton fans and the stuff they said to the players last year, and I'm pretty sure nobody on here could confirm or deny my claims.

Apologies for posting a picture that's been used before mate but I take it this was your reaction to him.

He shouldn't wear the shirt ever again. And I wouldn't base that purely on the incident at Bury, he's a poor player and a shadow of who he was for Birmingham.
As soon as we have Bauer, Lennon or Tex available, it'll be bye bye Roger.

Apologies? That picture should be used in every thread.
Did enjoy his sarcastic applause to the North stand as he entered the tunnel
Annoying, but it is now at the point where the fans are giving it out and he's giving it back. His behavior here is not a one off, and I think he's a dreadful footballer, but if he's going to get booed I don't think it's fair to clamor up if he reacts.
All that said, if I were RS I'd find a way to quickly and quietly move him on, even if he was at one point considered a central part of the defense. With Pearce, Bauer, Lennon, and Konsa we have four good central defenders, five on the off chance Tex stays (really can't see that one still). Diarra could provide cover when he's back. Center back is one of the areas, really the area, where we have quality in depth. Not worth it to keep an unhappy player who the fans are unhappy with around, especially if he's on high wages.

I didn't think it came across as sarcastic. I think he is now in a no win situation (of his own doing, maybe).
I saw it more as a 'what the f**k should I do' moment just as he approached the tunnel.
A wave, yes, I would agree would have been sarcastic/inflammoratry and I am pretty sure had he hidden and just slipped down the tunnel he would have gotten more pelters than the one or two comments that have surfaced about this now.
Thick footballer swears at fans. Naturally, the measured response on here was to demand he be arrested, or sacked, or sent back to India; there were little baby children at the game, they were crying and asking, 'Why does that man want to hurt me?What does 'fucking ' mean? Why do you bring me here?' Just days later, a pregnant lady went to buy a Charlton baby-gro at the Club Shop and was stopped by a CARD freedom fighter who asked her whether she might re - consider her decision to sponsor the regime. The poor woman miscarried on the spot. The regime /CARD has blood on its hands; no-one has been able to establish who is to blame despite a rigorous and impassioned investigation at the CL Supreme Court that is still in session after two years. An ever widening schism between the freedom fighter and collaborator is threatening to rip the heart and soul, the lungs, pancreas and pituitary glands out of our beloved club. Now is not the the time for petty rancour and self-righteous point-scoring. Or maybe it is, I don't know. Carry on.
That clean sheet on Tuesday must have really annoyed him.
The guy doesnt care about the club or he would have insisted on making an apology. He has cowered away like a naughty child with a chip on his shoulder.
He is a dick and doesn't deserve the effort of acknowledging he is one.
I am repeating myself a lot. Surely the issue isn't that he swore, but said to a travelling loyal supporting fan, miserable at losing at Bury ' if you don't f****** like it, don't come '?
