I'm not an U23 watcher so I don't recognise players and I didn't really catch the teams as they were read out! Sorry!
I know that Stevenson is at LB, Vennings scored the 2nd-minute pen, I heard Wilberforce Ocran's name mentioned, and there is a trialist or two.
If I find out anything I'll post it up.
Still 2-0 after about 12 mins but we had a good chance to make it three a couple of mins ago: a superb diagonal ball split the Linnets' defence and our no 14 took a touch too many steadying himself and his effort was blocked for a corner.
Lynn pulled it back to 2-2 in the first half (a soft penalty and a good close-range strike) and took the lead with another good goal midway through the second half but we levelled it a couple of minutes later.
Overall it was an enjoyable match with some good passages of play from both sides ... with some pretty ropey bits thrown in for good measure!
Unfortunately I didn't see a team sheet so don't know the names of the players our standout players were the no 14 up front (he scored the third), and nos 7 and 8 in midfield. The no 7 had a running battle with Lynn's no 5 all match which was entertaining.
The two centre-halves (nos 15 and 6) looked iffy - often caught out of position, poor distribution, and a couple of mix-ups with the 'keeper.
Before tonight King's Lynn had had a perfect pre-season, winning five out of five, scoring 18 and conceding only three; they played some good stuff and it was a decent test for the U23s.
My father-in-law was suitably impressed with our team, reckons we've got some good youngsters in the team ... which he said is just as well as they'll probably need to be in the first team sooner rather than later!
Been at the Lynn game, nabbed a teamsheet at the end! Decent match, Vennings and Isiaka looked good, Isiaka especially took his second goal very well. None of the triallists impressed. Don’t think Euell seemed too taken by the physicality of Lynn, but I think arranging friendlies against non-league sides its to be expected!
Well done on getting the team sheet @matt88. I now know which players I thought were OK and which were crap!
I deffo liked the look of Vennings and Isiaka; Kareem was very lively and covered a lot of ground.
One other thing: the attendance of 298 included a lot more Charlton than I expected! Saw plenty of Charlton shirts and scarves in the main stand and heard a lot of Charlton voices.
My local side Biggleswade Town took on the Under 23’s tonight . 0-0 at half time then Charlton took the lead only for The Waders to go 2-1 up with two quick goals , the second a superb over head kick ( 2nd picture) . Charlton then equalised and it finished 2-2 . A very even game - Fair result . The only player I really recognised from Charlton team was Toby Stephenson who came off at half time .

Since when have Charlton played U23 matches at Princes Park (Dartford)? I don't remember that being announced
As i mentioned earlier in the thread i was told this on the 30th July by a reliable source which i can now reveal as Chris Parkes,He also said that he expected this to be announced on the website along with the fixtures. This is the first season at Princes Park for most of the home fixtures.

I missed that!
Was surprised as traditionally Charlton never seemed to have a very close relationship with Dartford, when compared to the other non league clubs in the area. Nice ground and set up there

It's come about because of a catastrophic spell-check failure: someone typed Carlton Football Club instead of Charlton and Princes Park was Carlton's home ground in the VFL/AFL for over a century.
The only Princes Park close to Charlton was at Dartford and, hey presto, this is the position we're in today.

62' Great determination from Odoh! He fought hard to keep the ball in play on the touchline before making his way into the box and placing Isiaka's cross into the bottom right-hand corner.

If you ever want to donate that to the museum...

Allsopp, Albon and Kesey all from the U18
Kesey was/is Richard Afrane-Kesey so keeps our double barrelled name count up.
