An entertaining  youth game. Glad Kanu got his goal which was poachers one, thought Rylah was the pick of our players this afternoon. One big criticism is they need to improve the passing accuracy both short and long.

Really pleased for Oguntayo who's been out for something like 15 months. This was, if I remember correctly, the most minutes he's had since pre- season before last.

Looked to get forward as you'd expect from a winger converted to wing back but defended well.

Otherwise a very young side with lots of U18s including Kanu who showed both his strengths (typical back to goal turn and shot for the 2nd) and where he needs to improve. He's young so wrong to expect the finished article.
  • Very enjoyable watch via the stream.

Impressed with young Rylah & , as always, my personal favourite, Zach Mitchell. SUCH an intelligent player for his age & pretty much again, another immaculate performance.

    Well done, Young Guns !

I have to say Zach Mitchell impresses every time I see him.  His first 5 yards are so quick and it gets him out of trouble but he also displays a really good touch and is comfortable on the ball.
I found out today he used to play in midfield and it doesn’t really surprise me. He could go far

Rylah is a new one this season but I like the look of him too.  This level will help him learn a lot and I hope to see more of him but what I’ve seen so far is encouraging.

Henry was decent today and some of his passing was superb but he tried the Hollywood pass a little to often today

Anderson was efficient and it’s unusual to see someone so young being so comfortable on either foot - there’s a huge amount of potential in him.

Not a perfect performance but we were by far the better team  today and deserved to win

Fingers firmly crossed for him he's a proper left/wing back.

More than the usual number of scouts seemed to be at the game.

I would guess we have more young players on our books than usual. Ladapo/Reilly/Toure/Bakrin and the like signed in the summer and I don't think are getting loads of minutes so maybe some more need to go on loan?

Today's game at Princes Park has been postponed because of illness amongst the Charlton players.

Thanks for the update, i can't find anything anywhere.
  • Haven't seen Euan Williams name recently. Is he injured?
  • Had forgotten Gavin. Recently injured I assume. I wonder if he is worth a go whilst Stockley is out.

He's on loan @ Tonbridge Angels

We can recall him whenever we want of course, but he only has two goals this season in eleven games for them - Hasn't really set the world alight at that level, shame as he did so well with Billericay last season.
  • Mitchell on the bench on Saturday with Elewere playing tonight shows who's currently ahead in the pecking order

He has played right back for the under 18s so more versatile.

Elerewe hasn't looked fantastic since he was playing regularly. In fact his quality declined during that time he was playing regularly.

Thanks.  shame he has not pushed on. Hopefully this goal gives him the confidence to do so.

I've seen him play a couple of games at Princes Park recently. He looked very sharp.

Only ‘not pushed on’ because of an injury.
    Keep your eye on him.

It could be said he has only looked very promising in pre season friendlies. We know some players revel in that space and style of game.

As an occasional but keen watcher of development teams at Charlton, I would say we could do worse than an enthusiastic Gavin playing until the Aneke introduction whilst Stockley is suspended.
