I presume Colin Eager will demand that @LouisMend sign an ABC to continue covering the club?2

Can understand that more. Quite common to agree not to talk about your work on social media.me76 said:Talk sport just said they have heard from staff who have to sign an ABC to work at the club.

Just had visions of sheltered housing in Essex, Danny Dyer style.
Old fellers squaring up to each other over the prunes at breakfast, 'come on you mug', Dorris stepping in telling them both to 'jog on'.
Ray Winston's grandad turning to the old boy by the Stanner stairlift 'where's your Zimmer?', 'what f-ing Zimmer?', 'this f-ing Zimmer'.

Isn't that just covered by your terms of employment ?Leeds_Addick said:

Tbf I suppose at least they are trying to have dialogue with fans now
Anyway, there I was thinking, a couple of new signings, MAYBE they are getting their act together a bit, then they go and spoil it all by saying something stupid like sign this contract you infidel.2 -
Paddy power, with it's 600k followers just tweeted it! This is hilarious.4

Yeah it might be. In my case it was anyway.se9addick said:

The way this has blown up all over social media is far greater than the reaction to any protests we've done. They're just making it too easy for us.4

Got mates an family who support other clubs messaging me about this.
It's quite embarrassing really.

Statement due to be released.
They're going to make it worse....
Whatever they say they can't say the original email was not a "threat". It can't be misinterpreted.14 -
Bloody hell, just when you think they cant fuck up any more they somehow always manage to. Laughing stock.2

Clearly you do know the background as you have commented.Essex_Al said:Wahey! Let's all get excited and stamp our feet and post pages and pages of bullshit!
One letter was sent to a season ticket purchaser, whom the club has identified as posting inflammatory statements on a social media website. None of you know the background to this letter, it may also have been complaints by other season ticket holders from last year.
He's been granted his ticket, but called in for a little chat, big deal!
Still, you carry on chaps, don't let anything get in the way of slagging the club off again will you!
Please fill us in!3 -
Here in Thailand we have to be a little bit careful what we put on social media as people have been jailed for 15 years for writing anti-monarchy posts on Facebook, and we're advised not to refer to the military Government as a dictatorship, which it is (oops, hope the PM doesn't read Charlton Life!).
But to have a football club act in a similar way is astounding. Another monumental cock-up by the Belgians.
It was mentioned above that Paddy Power has tweeted about this, so has William Hill. This could go viral with a little luck.1 -
Dont count on it. I can see a statement happening in reaction to them feeling a bit embarrassed perhaps. Not sympathetic.WSS said:Statement due to be released.

This if it does happen would be absolutely amazing.Dave2l said:
I honestly think Meire is going to phone them.swords_alive said:Liked the point made earlier about fans being literally the life blood of clubs, bringing them back to life usually after a long struggle- Chester and Hereford given as examples- But also as the moral conscience for a club, and democratising force; the coffin through the streets last season mentioned for example (more than once) and though some may not agree with protests etc, the discussion is always healthy.
Lots of adverts but this is ongoing on talksport and being weaved into their other stories and snippets too. I think they are waiting for further developments and may be to get selected callers on air.
I'd love to see how long it will take for the phone to hang up as they tear her apart.0 -

I've gone from furious to laughing my head off. I have had loads of messages from mates that represent just about every club around the north west telling me about this letter lol0
