Oh, I thought I had heard it from several players there but admittedly didn't speak to Henderson.
What did he say?
He said he couldn't understand it. And that he didn't like the hostile atmosphere when he was keeping in front of the covered end.
Funny that as he said he fully understood why we were protesting at Bromley, knew it wasn't aimed at the players too. He did say targeting individual players wasn't helpful but I think most of us agree with that and that that was nothing to do with the protests.
So, are you calling me a liar?
Because that is EXACTLY what he said to the people (who were listening) at the POTY dinner.
Maybe he changed his mind between the 2 events? Possibly due to the protests had been ramped up between your meeting and the POTY dinner...
Calm down.
Quite possibly he changed his mind although I seem to remember it was Pope who played in front of those "hostile" crowds at the end of the season.
Possible that he told the audience, what he thought they wanted to hear.
So if East Stand Loopy, who is clearly against the demos, framed a question to SH in that way, then he may have responded in kind, out of courtesy.

His interview after the Huddersfield game clearly showed he was upset at what was going.
His posts after leaving us telling us what wonderful fans we are(not the apologists of course) suggests Henderson was with us and understood us.

Plus the fact that he went out of his way on Twitter to "Favourite" a fair few anti-regime/pro-protest tweets at one point...
I think that's quite a clear indication of the mans views when he's sitting at home alone, browsing Twitter, with no pressure to answer any questions or actively get involved.
I suspect Covered End is correct when he suggests that Henderson was being professional and polite, perhaps replying to the wording of the question and not the question itself. His conduct online away from any source of bias was quite telling though.
an apologist is a person who offers an argument in defence of something controversial ; supporting the team isn't really controversial is it? unless you believe that team and regime are one and the same. Regime = custodians. Team=employees.

I think half the people that bandy the word'apologist' about had never come across it until it turned up on here every day.
