    Brilliant comic actor

If there was a heaven , I'd like to think he and Richard Prior would be having a ball tonight.

    RIP

RIP. Two totally iconic roles. Did anyone see his letter setting out his ideas for Willy Wonka? Really interesting to see an actor basically making a character.

Iconic actor. The Producers is my favourite comedy film along with Life of Brian.

" I SAID GOOD DAY, SIR!"
Love that scene in Willy Wonka.
Really liked him in The Producers Blazing Saddles Silver Streak and Young Frankenstein.
    An unforgettable face once seen.
    RIP
  • One of the funniest comedians ever, a hugely talented man. A really sad loss.

Young Frankenstein was on a few weeks ago, just bed wettingly funny (and had the incomparable Marty Feldman to boot).
