Before the start of the season , (when he was appointed), I said end of September. I was underwhelmed by his appointment then and he has done little thus far to change that. if we lose the next 2 I think he will be gone. The next coach will be the correct choice and increase our status, or words to that effect.

Nobby Vinegar if he is still on Douchbags payroll?
On past form, Roland tends to get an itchy trigger finger in October-November, after a poor result at home. I favour the aftermath of home -v- Port Vale on Sat 19 Nov (and before Bristol Rovers on the following Tuesday). We may have to do without one of Daisy's classic votes of confidence immediately before the sacking, though.
This season does have the hallmarks of all the others; OK, start, then after the transfer window has slammed shut, leaving us with a squad short on depth and lacking in certain positions (midfield this year, centre back last, up front the year before that...), the team start to get shaky. We can realistically and easily go from a team unbeaten in six, to one that hasn't won in six, if we lose or fail to beat Scunthorpe and Oxford this week. If that then gets extended up to the Millwall game, I can see RD getting his mobile out and giving Brussel the heave ho after that game...

Spot on.
Think back to Peeters before he was sacked. It seemed pretty quickly that our "unbeaten run" turned in to nothing more than a string of draws with no real excitement or ability to win a game. At least thats how I remember it!
Wow, one game, one game and it has started, this is after on the back of a six game undefeated run. Should we have won Saturday ? Yes is the simple answer to that and the reason for not winning? we didn't take our chances, and there is the one and only fault to Saturday, we never took our chances. If we were playing poorly, no pattern to our play, no team spirit, creating no chances, not optimistic for the remainder of the season i would be really worried. Wimbeldon created two chances and scored on Saturday. There keeper was outstanding and to think he was playing in the Ryman league last season goes to show there is talent out there and this was his first game of the season. Creating as many chances as we did is a positive, the flair of Holmes and Lookman, a player clubs wanted to pay in excess of £6 million a few weeks ago, the boy from Burnley looked strong in the first half. Coming out in the second half if we had scored a couple of them early chances it could easily have been a 3-0, 4-0 scoreline. We sat back nerves kicked in, they chucked an old fashioned forward on and had a go. We are more than capable of going on another run, and maybe a result such as this enables the team and management to sit down have a chat, address things tactically and to those who haven't played in this league, it is going to be tough and brutal.

I'm not calling for Slade's head but it wasn't a six game unbeaten run, it was five and in that run we won only twice.
We're W2 D3 L2 in the league after 7 games. That's not promotion form regardless of the game in hand.
I think it is far too early and far too reactive to call for a change already but remember this is Roland. He shows little patience with failing managers here or at his other clubs.
Meire won't sack Slade as she has pinned so much of the "we've changed" spin and what is left of her personal credibility on having an English manager on board.

I feel a lot better now that this post has put right my (wrong) perception of the game situation on Saturday......if only we had taken our chances.
By the way, "their" would be grammatically correct

But Meire doesn't decide, Roland does.
Yet at the same time didnt @BDL say (When he left his job) that Roland isnt bothered if we get promoted or not?
So yes we're not fighting for promotion at present yet provided we dont slip into a relegation dogfight I dont see him going

Come on, you're not really including that? Against a reserve side in a mickey mouse trophy? If so might as well count Cheltenham defeat as well.

But he sacked Peters when we were top half and got rid of Luzon and Fraeye when results weren't going well.

But we are now a team that hasn't won in four games... What if we keep missing chances? What if all the other teams 'keepers have blinders against us? What if Rudd goes a few more games without making a save? What if we get some injuries to our key (multi-million pound offer) players? It just smacks of the last two years all over again; deja vu anyone?

|Really ??
Yes, really. Except now we are league one, and not the Championship...
The usual life expectancy for these guys once Roland gets impatient is about 14-20 league games from appointment/start of season. That includes (rough number of games) Luzon (13), Fraeye (13), Riga (20) here last season and Luzon, Vukomanovic and Riga at Standard Liege the previous season and Riga the first time round at Charlton (15).

We drew against Southampton U23s...
So we never beat Chelsea at Stamford Bridge in the League Cup. You sound like the special one.

The problem is that it cost virtually nothing to sack his previous appointments. Slade, unbelievably, is on a 3 year contract. I had to check his wiki page to confirm that and whilst I was doing so I was reminded of the 23 years of sustained mediocrity he has achieved over the course of his managerial career.
Unless there is a clause we don't know about how much would it cost to sack Slade before Xmas? Over a million?

There are normally pay -off clauses (that work both ways) of 6 months or 1 year in managers contracts. Or at least at most normal clubs there is.
Regardless it would still be expensive and another reason why Meire wont' sack him. Roland on the other hand, who knows?
But if we steadily work our way through ALL the crap coaches/managers in football we should eventually hit pay dirt... Then there are other sports of course! Damn this is depressing.
