Oxford here in peace... Looking forward to the game. A few pointers for you which might help your day go smoothly. You can get a number 5 bus (they are usually bloody pink for some reason!) from the station to blackbird leys. Then it's a two minute walk to the ground. It takes around 25-30 mins and it will be busy with shoppers as well as football fans. You will share the North stand with Oxford who will have approx 2/3 of it. It's a cracking view of the pitch tbh. If you want a beer before the game go down George St, wetherspoons for breakfast and plenty of other bars along there. If you want a drink near the ground there is a bar and a frankie and bennies behind the open end car park. more than likely you will be kept in by the OB after so allow for that with your train times and the buses back to town will be rammed after as well. Hope this little lot helps, see you Saturday.
I'll be there. Was going to drive but have been persuaded to train it (from Reading) to have "a couple of beers" starting at 12 noon. I'm booking my liver in for rehab on the Sunday.
Can you pick me up from the Oxford Retreat for 13.30?
It's by the railway station. I'm being serious.
Can you also pick up a bit of dry cleaning on the way for me as well. Maybe let my cat out as well if you have time.
So there is more than one pussy in Otto Towers then......
Couple of old growlers as well.
I must come round one day.
It's not a free bar, and there are no obscure non league teams that play in my back garden - although the lawn is better than the pitch at Hollands & Blair.
However, your more than welcome to use ceefax to look up the Goole Town result.

It's a bowlplex mate. Ten pin bowling etc with TVs and a big bar area. You can have a sesh in there and then be in your seat in the ground two minutes later.

Hoping for lots of beer and many anti-regime songs throughout the day.
A win would be nice too, mind.

What is s the situation with getting out of the car parks after the game ? I've heard it's a nightmare.
