It seems ex Charlton players do not have successful or long football management careers.
    Alan Curbishley disagrees
What did Cutbishly do after leaving us. Had a failed management stint and West Ham.
    Other wise has been retired.
  • Liam Manning is set to become Oxford Manager
  • Manning to Oxford is an interesting move , they've got some quality in that squad but seemed like they had completely given up under Robinson.

I might be wrong, but Manning doesn't strike me as a fire-fighting manager, to quickly turn things around which is what they need now. A relegation scrap, which is what they could end up in, isn't the time for introducing a new passing style of football either.

Yeah I see it as a huge risk. I would have thought Manning was someone that needed a preseason to implement his style.

Former Aston Villa boss Steven Gerrard has flown to Istanbul to hold talks with Trabzonspor over becoming their new manager. (Karar - in Turkish)

    Scott Parker to the rescue...?
Agent Lee Bowyer please, after all he’s got the Holmesdale Rd stand named after him (albeit by us 😉)

Supposedly the best thing since sliced bread in September but their plummet has been quite spectacular this season
  • They wanted a flash name unsurprisingly for that club and its cringe fans, but Hodgson did a better job spending less.
  • Please let the replacement be Nathan Jones.
  • Hoping they decide to give Frank de Boer another go.
  • omg what if they appoint Sir Chris Powell
  • I will divorce him quicker than you'd ever know
  • Isn't their template to appoint a funky manager then when it goes Pete Tong appoint a Pulis/Woy/Warnock type to keep them up?
Pity for them they missed out on Dyche.
Let's hope they get it wrong this time
  • John Yems?
  • Tranmere Rovers have today relieved Manager Micky Mellon of his first team duties.
Ian Dawes will step in as caretaker manager assisted by Andy Parkinson whilst options are considered in preparation for the new season.

Slightly harsh, but you can understand the timing as this season is effectively over for them, and the new manager can start preparing for next season now
  • Conte gone apparently

    He'll be happy!
  • Say’s decision in next 48 hours on Sky
  • Levy is too busy negotiating Tottenham's official chocolate bar for next season to deal with Conte yet  ;)

Bayern have sacked Nagelsmann with them in just second place... the horror

Set to be replaced by Tuchel

Bet it wont be long before we see the former in the Premier League
  • Surely Spurs have to at least try for Nagelsmann?
  • Only 8 wins in the last 10 games.
    Not good enough.  ;)
  • Madness really.

2nd in the league (1 point off top) having lost 3 games all season.
Just knocked PSG out of the CL and are in the quarters.
In the German cup quarters as well.

Tuchel is a great appointment though. Should never have been sacked by PSG and was probably harsh to lose his job at Chelsea as well. He was only there 18 months and won 3 trophies and got to 3 more finals.

I sense that they've got rid of Nagelsmann not because of how their season is going but simply because they feel Tuchel is a better manager longer term.
