  • Benfica have sacked Bruno Lage and seem set to appoint Jose Mourinho, meaning he will go back to the first club he managed 25 years ago. Benfica have a trip to Stamford Bridge at the end of the month so lots of nostalgia for the Portugese manager
  • Got sacked at Fenerbahce after losing to Benfica, ironic if he then takes over at Benfica.
  • No surprise Wrexham hold talks over Phil Parkinson's future as Ryan Reynolds watches third defeat
Weird to think we have lower expectations than Wrexham. They lost 1-3 (to a team we lost to last week), a standard Championship side and a recently relegated side in Southampton. I am then guessing if we lost to the spanner’s Jones head would be called for?

The main difference is Charlton look a decent competitive team. Wrexham don’t look like turning a corner with that shambles of a defence leaking goals constantly despite new signings and a load of money thrown at it.

Surprised he's lasted this long and even more surprised they've sacked him on a Thursday when they didn't have a game during the week.

Looks like he's been a car crash there since going in. Kone barely scored for him and he admitted the other week he doesn't have a Plan B. Whilst we were very good in the 4-0 win at their place, they were also very poor. Be interesting to see who they get in
  • If Bloomfield had stayed at Wycombe,  I'm sure they would have gone up. Instead he's managing Luton in L1!

Said a while back that if he didn't start the season well he'd be gone. Incredible blow up last season cost them promotion and they've since got worse. Losing Kone obviously didn't help though.

  • Michael Duff in at Wycombe according to Pete O'Rourke.
  • Benfica have appointed Jose Mourinho as their manager on a deal until the summer of 2027.
