Bielsa has extended his contract with Leeds for another year so at least they won't be sniffing around Bowyer.

Already happened to us this season, but not from Leeds.

  • I wonder if Barca swoops for Benitez. He is out of contract. Kinda slim pickings for top managers at the moment. Mourinho would be a disaster for them.

    Wouldnt touch Mourinho

Wouldnt be surrised if they go for another ex player, maybe Xavi

The Barca team at it's peak (immediately after Pep left) barely needed coaching, so many world class players who 100% knew and bought into their system

Things are a bit different now, they need someone with a track record.

Admittedly he'd find it pretty hard to turn the Barca job down but he's literally only just been given the managers job of his Qatari club, Al Sadd.

Let’s just say I don’t like hypocritical clubs moaning about what happened to Derby when some League One clubs were doing the same. I’m not going to mention specific suspected clubs on an open forum.
  • Still don't see the problem myself, seems like smart scouting imo.

  • Nigel Atkins leaving Hull City at the end of the month.

Plenty of openings within the Championship and the season hasnt even started yet

    Thought he'd done ok there

So did I... at one stage they looked an outside bet for potentially making the Play-Offs

He wasn't sacked, he turned down Hull's contract offer.

That doesn't give a lot of confidence in Hull next season, as Adkins it seems would have loved to stay but felt that he couldn't

My guess would be ex-captain Puyol, much loved and a Catalan too.
  • Steve Cooper (won the U17 World Cup with England recently) is set to be appointed as the new Swansea Manager
  • Meanwhile in a darkened room, Nobby Vinegar sharpens up on his English, “the President is a great man and I have a really good budget for the championola”
  • Steve Cooper (won the U17 World Cup with England recently) is set to be appointed as the new Swansea Manager
Swansea once again taking a brave approach, rather than one of the usual names
  • Seems this one has slipped under the radar!!

Ryan Lowe is the new Plymouth Manager it seems... Shocked at that one after he got Bury promoted to League One!!

Especially as his whole career has pretty much been spent in the North of England apart from a spell @ MK Dons

  • Bury short of cash. Wouldn’t be surprised if he hasn’t been paid for ages.
  • Still a drastic move in terms of his personal life though!

You would expect Plymouth to be one of the promotion favourites this season, indeed them getting relegated was a massive surprise really
  • Bury short of cash. Wouldn’t be surprised if he hasn’t been paid for ages.
Bury FC is in a real mess and probably always will be given its proximity to so many big clubs as well as so many equally small ones in the EFL
Plymouth is a bit of a sleeping giant with little local competition. Lowe has made a good move. Let's hope if he's successful at the Pilgrims, he actually gets paid for his efforts ((:>)
  • I thought Bury had a bit behind them now and were stupid to be relegated from League One in the first place

i.e. they had a few big names like Jermaine Beckford and Chris Maguire in that squad
  • Due in High Court next week to face a winding up petition over unpaid debts
Up to 12 staff have been issued with 'possible upcoming redundancy' letters.
Players and staff have gone months without pay at times this year.

The fans trust have been pleading with the main creditor to file for administration.

Bleak times for Bury, despite promotion.
  • Near neighbours of Bolton, and both in a similar financial mess, despite one being relegated to L1 and the other promoted to L1.

apparently eyeing up Paul Heckinbottom although Hibs will demand compensation which may put hull off
  • Lots of rumours  that Garry Monk has been sacked at Birmingham, i suppose Lee Bowyer will be linked with them now.

he won the league cup with them in 2011 so i'd imagine he'd be a popular choice with the fans

Done a good job there, sacking him would be ludicrous. Sacking Monk to bring in Bowyer makes no real sense.

Him walking on the other hand...
