Kevin Nugent in the betting now currently 12/1, a couple of good results and they may offer it to him.0

He said on Saturday he does not want the job, however if he's in charge for 10 games regardless of him being in Caretaker charge, then the bookies would pay out.Charlton_Stu said:Kevin Nugent in the betting now currently 12/1, a couple of good results and they may offer it to him.

I wouldn't be upset by this . In Slade's departing statement he said we needed 'stability' . Was this an endorsement of Nugent ?Charlton_Stu said:Kevin Nugent in the betting now currently 12/1, a couple of good results and they may offer it to him.

Oh i didn't know he said that, can't say i blame him but a new man might want his own staff.shirty5 said:

Ive stuck a fiver on him, I doubt he will be annouced as the new permanent manager but can easily see him taking charge of 10 games as caretaker.. that will be very cheap for Roly afterall.Charlton_Stu said:Kevin Nugent in the betting now currently 12/1, a couple of good results and they may offer it to him.

We're almost in the same sort of situation we were in with Fraeye1 -
Robinson and Caldwell have been interviewed, apparently.

'Robinson is understood to have been interviewed by Charlton after expressing an interest in the role at The Valley and he is thought to have impressed Charlton's hiearchy with his vision for the club.'
believe me mate your vision doesn't matter because their vision is completely opposite to yours33 - Sponsored links:

Aren't HITC a pretty crap site that just re-cycles news from other sites. Lot's of "understands" etc etc as no real sources.3

Not the best picture of Gary Caldwell in that article1

I think Lennie is out of work after the sacking at Cardiff of Paul Trollope.CyrilDavies said:
Yes he seemed to be around for a while and talk of director of football, and then he came to his senses.andynelson said:

Good point that. Who advised KM on Slade?Henry Irving said:Have we been linked with any in work managers?
Big club with massive investment from committed owner, surely we can take a good up and coming boss from a lower league club?
Or are we only attractive to the unemployed?0 -
Wow thats out of the blue from Lee... (i.e. wanting to go into Management not the Charlton job)mrbligh said:0 -

He's the 5th different man in 'pole position' for the job in a week. We've had COL, Adkins, Hasselbaink, Caldwell and now Robinson.Scoham said:Robinson and Caldwell have been interviewed, apparently.

That's what happens when the markets change based on hopeful bets rather than realistic ones.Chris_from_Sidcup said:

This posted above certainly troubles me.tricky said:From Michael Calvin's excellent Living on the Volcano, Robinson sounds like he'd be right up Katrien's street.
It looks as if Robinson will be happy to bring on players to sell on to the Premier League as Katrien said in the Dublin interview.
That will play well with this regime, the trouble is what will play well with the fans is a manager who's absolute priority is to win matches.
Edit the quote above didn't link.0 - Sponsored links:

I think winning games is probably the priority of any manager except Karel Fraeye who's priority was getting by another week thinking 'how much longer can i get away with this'seth plum said:

Given the choice who would you vote for?
Robinson
or
Caldwell

Is that what Katrien asked you on Saturday?Swisdom said:Given the choice who would you vote for?

Thing is we fans don't get a vote and rightly so.
Unfortunately the criteria isn't who is the best manager but who's going to do what he's told by Duchatelet8 -
Neither?Swisdom said:Given the choice who would you vote for?

Which one will get us to Target20k the quickest?8

Neither of these have a track record to get us out of the mire. I'd prefer a total punt like Bowyer. Top of my list would be Nathan Jones, Yogi Hughes followed by HH and as an outsider, Sergio Baltacha.3

Cajones had better watch out if Bowyer gets the gig, he's got previous with fast food outlet management apparently.harveys gardener said:Neither of these have a track record to get us out of the mire.
