  • Kevin Nugent in the betting now currently 12/1, a couple of good results and they may offer it to him.

He said on Saturday he does not want the job, however if he's in charge for 10 games regardless of him being in Caretaker charge, then the bookies would pay out.

I wouldn't be upset by this . In Slade's departing statement he said we needed 'stability' . Was this an endorsement of Nugent ?

Oh i didn't know he said that, can't say i blame him but a new man might want his own staff.

Ive stuck a fiver on him, I doubt he will be annouced as the new permanent manager but can easily see him taking charge of 10 games as caretaker.. that will be very cheap for Roly afterall.

Win against Bristol Rovers and a result against Sheffield United... whats the rush to appoint someone new

We're almost in the same sort of situation we were in with Fraeye

  • Aren't HITC a pretty crap site that just re-cycles news from other sites. Lot's of "understands" etc etc as no real sources.
  • Not the best picture of Gary Caldwell in that article

Have we been linked with any in work managers?

Big club with massive investment from committed owner, surely we can take a good up and coming boss from a lower league club?

Or are we only attractive to the unemployed?

Good point that. Who advised KM on Slade?
    Lennie Lawrence.

Yes he seemed to be around for a while and talk of director of football, and then he came to his senses.
I think Lennie is out of work after the sacking at Cardiff of Paul Trollope.

Wow thats out of the blue from Lee... (i.e. wanting to go into Management not the Charlton job)

He's the 5th different man in 'pole position' for the job in a week. We've had COL, Adkins, Hasselbaink, Caldwell and now Robinson.

That's what happens when the markets change based on hopeful bets rather than realistic ones.

From Michael Calvin's excellent Living on the Volcano, Robinson sounds like he'd be right up Katrien's street.

This posted above certainly troubles me.
It looks as if Robinson will be happy to bring on players to sell on to the Premier League as Katrien said in the Dublin interview.
That will play well with this regime, the trouble is what will play well with the fans is a manager who's absolute priority is to win matches.

Edit the quote above didn't link.

of those two, Robinson but I'd rather neither of them
  • Neither of these have a track record to get us out of the mire. I'd prefer a total punt like Bowyer. Top of my list would be Nathan Jones, Yogi Hughes followed by HH and as an outsider, Sergio Baltacha.
