From concept to intimacy these guys nailed it.
And a shout out to the support act Joan Jett and the Blackhearts, they had Wembley rocking within a few moments of starting their set.

First live gig in over 10 years for me yesterday. At the Ally Pally finally getting around to seeing the Super Furry Animals. One of my very favourite bands after buying the Radiator album 29 years ago. Bloody loved it.4

Had Richard Ashcroft and Shed Seven tickets for Englefield Estate next week, Heritage Live cancelled all their events over multiple venues this summer, they sent and email saying refund will be from ticket issuer, SeeTickets email says they have already given ticket sales money to the promoters and to go through them, neither now responding to emails so looks like it's gonna be nightmare getting a refund!!0

Surely the refund should come from SeeTickets and it’s down to them to get their money back? That's what I assumed, these are the 2 emails, I've gone through my bank now but that claim will take 5-8 weeks unlesss either Heritaglive or See Tickets decide to do the right thing!!DaveMehmet said:

I had tickets for Dodgy/Icicle Works in September. Dodgy cancelled the tour and Ticketmaster refunded within a few days. You only get face value, so they keep the admin fees etc., which is a scam in itself.It should be SeeTickets refunding you, but I suspect they think they’ll get burned as Heritage have been paid and they’re worried about getting the funds off them. That should be their problem though not yours.1

Its SeeTickets fault for not doing their due dilligence. Only in specific circumstances do they release funds prior to events and they should have measured the risk of administration of Heritage LIVE better (they know how many tickets they have sold, they sold them). They are not doing anyone a favour in providing refunds, they are on the hook as the ticket seller. They are only doing it because of the pressure of a wave of section 75 claims from punters which would affect their overall supplier standing.
The owner of Seetickets had revenues of 142.6m at last accounting period, they are doing alright for themselves.1 -

Saw The Divine Comedy on Sunday at the Royal Festival Hall. Great varied set, did all of the favourites except "The pop singers fear of the pollen count". Good support too from George Houston.
First time I have been to the RFH - great venue!1 -

Garbage at the Roundhouse on Tuesday was excellent, our Shirl’s still got it.
Sadly I did have to reactivate the restraining order I took out on her about 10 years ago. The woman just won’t leave me alone!2 -

Was at the Signature Brew Walthamstow on Thursday. Mad venue. It’s basically Signature Brews’ brewery in the middle of an industrial estate off the Blackhorse Road. Stage at one end and crowd surrounded by brewery tanks!
Shutters left open so it doesn’t get too hot and 3 tap room bars attached.1 -
I saw We Are Scientists at the Concorde2 in Brighton. The area was chaotic as Madness were playing across the road on the beach. A decent set by We Are Scientists from a thoroughly likeable band who were quite amusing at times between songs. Decent evening.
