  • Great stuff, lads !

Stevo does the business again !
  • Another 5 wicket haul for Stevens - Derbyshire 131-7.

Another gold star for Kent's youth policy!

    Dickson gone for 2.

    119 lead.
  • 51/4 - making hard work of this but another 100 will probably be enough in al honesty.

  • Parnell gone for 8 - 81/6.
  • Coles gone for 7. 111/7 - Stevens close to his 50
  • Coles gone for 7. 111/7 - Stevens close to his 50

    **Cough** one man team **cough***

Hope that cough's better by next Sunday, canters.

( Don't expect me to rub your chest with Vick!)

I'm sure there's no need for you to bring Vick with you. A Fanny rubbing the chest will be more than enough for Canters to contend with.

    Well that's a first!
  • I was raised in Charlton in the late 50s and my introduction to cricket was the annual 3 day championship game, Kent v Surrey at Blackheath. A poor side in late 50s/early 60s soon developed into a very successful trophy winning team. Names such as Knott/Underwood/Asif/Shepherd stirred my blood and I enjoyed a number of one day finals at Lords: those were the days!

Cue forward to 1990, Kent cricket was average and together with a work related relocation saw me living in the Midlands and my desire and opportunities to watch Kent waned. Cue forward again to now. I am really excited with the start Kent have made this season and I am about to set off for a 300 mile return journey to Canterbury; my first visit to the St Lawrence Ground for about 8 years.

Just needs CAFC similar fortunes next season and I will be a very, very happy man.

    Ouch!
  • Stevens could nutmeg a mermaid.
  • Stevens goes for 90, but surely taken the game away from them now. 201/8
  • Cursed him, sorry....
  • Lead over 300 on a tricky track....

    GRRRRRRRRRRRRRR

A great partnership though, and plenty of time to bowl Derbyshire out
  • 279-8 and a lead of 379

Best ever innings of 83* by Rouse and Harris 31* for a partnership of 78

Definitely the strongest batting side, in terms of depth, I think we have ever had - our number 10 and 11 both average 22 in First Class Cricket.
  • 284/9 - Harris goes for 32. Hopegully Tredders can stay with Rouse so he gets his first century
  • 308-9 Rouse 95* Tredwell 9*

In fact, we all used to say "why is it all the other teams' tails wag and not ours?"
  • 308-9 Rouse 95* Tredwell 9*

Oh dear I have well and truly done it. Tredwell out at the same score ;-(

    Feel really sorry for Rousey.

    Still 408 lead.
  • unfortunately Tredwell out on 9
  • Bugger, Tredwell out leaving Rouse stranded

Good knock by the keeper though, how does his work with the gloves compare with that of Billings? Could you play Billings just as a batsman?

Rouse did that 95 in 121 balls
