I like what he's saying about young players and their cars. And the fact he doesn't like players getting off the coach with headphones on, as it might stop them interacting with fans.

So what's stopping him interacting with fans that are protesting?
Maybe the fact that he might agree with them. Then what's he going to do?
    Show some empathy?

Right, I've got to get the kids to bed now, so I'm bound to miss the Charlton bit (if there is one!)

Surprised we pay youngsters enough to afford flash cars

I can't understand why people can't understand why Charlton fans are so sceptical of what Robinson says. This isn't Charlton fans being awkward, this is fans being cautious because of everything that's happened.

The way forward is Charlton fans being shown something to believe in, not being told what to put trust in.

Agree with this, it's all feckin chat. Both the owners and the manager should stop trying to talk there way out of the mess this club is in and just get on with it. The chat just makes you think deep down the set up is flawed and they are all trying to convince themselves as well as the fans that we're on an upward trajectory. At the moment we are not, we're still mid table in League One with unproven players coming through the door. When we go back up they can chat all they like.

Tbf players like Konsa are not the people to go after. He's been playing well, let him enjoy a bit of success, even if it's a good deal on a car lease.

Couldn't care less if he has a nice car or not tbh. It's his money to do as he pleases.

I don't get why people are so against Karl, he has come in shown a real passion for the job and the club.

Because it's not about how passionate he is.

No it's not but some have a problem with him and have been saying things before we had played a game under him.

As valley Gary touched on I think people are not giving him a chance because of the last 3 years, that's not his fault, let's judge him on football in 12 months time.

Personally I like him and what he is trying to do, I know on the stats he is similar to slade so far but to me it's seems different and more enjoyable and I can see a clear plan and a understanding of what the fans want and what Charlton is.
as if he'll still be here January 2018

Who do we think the young player with the flash car is?

He said it was a young player who hasn't played too many games. He was put off him, at first, by the flash car, but then found out he's actually a good kid.
KAG according to some on Twitter who have seen his car.
Would make sense, I've seen him in Eltham High St in a very expensive looking Range Rover.

Whilst you hope they have good people around them giving them good advice about money, it's their money and should be allowed to enjoy it and other privileges that come with being a footballer.

Oh, not knocking the BMW or Konsa for getting it. Good luck to the lad.

But you need to see the leasing company's website.

Win games and the manager can chat non stop or be a Trappist monk for all I care.

Only heard the first hour but he came over well, is clearly comfortable in front of a microphone and suits the laddish talkshite vibe well. All good for the image if the club but doesnt make up for all the crap Meire and Roland have delivered.

    Just win games.

To be fair, you've just described pretty much every other make/model of car on the road.

Tbf they are still talking refs

Oh goodness me - he was the Sir Alex Ferguson/Jose type at MK Dons on that issue.

Any slight error made by them and he was on their back after each match!

And yes he does like to talk...hopefully does a good job for you guys!

Finished by saying not trained on grass since last week, still gets a buzz driving down Sparrows Lane every morning and it's a great club with great fans who really got behind the team v Millwall.

Someone needs to tell him that was a one off if he hasn't already noticed and it used to be like that more often than not under Powell and the spivs before we were taken over by a megalomaniac whose actions have driven down STs by 4000.

Ha, you've got it easy. I get up 30 minutes before I go to bed and have to walk 40 miles to work a 72 hour shift with only a lidl digestive biscuit for my lunch!

I'm deliberately not listening .. he talks too much and is a giggler, I think he is basically a very nervous personality, whatever, he gets on my nerves
.. BUT I don't have to listen to or look at him ..
he had a bit of success at MK, took him a while ..
I am prepared to allow him a chance at CAFC, give him some leeway despite all the old bollocks ..
the past few years have been a nightmare .. now, ignoring all the off field shenanigans, Slade brought in a few decent players and Crusoe has brought in a few more, I am prepared to let his results do the talking, he's got three months to get things in shape

Praising Jackson but also joked in trying to retire him.

This is kind of what I meant about him being too try hard-y. I noticed on the interview with him on the last Charlton Live that he's always making (not funny) jokes and laughing at them. He mentioned on TalkSport about the challenges of being a young manager and I wonder if that's part of it - he wants to fit in, a bit like a kid starting a new school and the giggling, silly jokes and trying to talk into any available microphone is a sign of an underlying insecurity ?

Right, that's enough of the psychiatry, it's £500 an hour for every additional session.

At £500 you clearly aren't worth it. They will only pay if you charge £1,000 an hour plus travel expenses of arriving by helicopter.

In fairness I've only been in this game for 16 minutes.

£2,000 an hour seems like the minimum you should be asking for. No one likes an expert.

Modern car leasing and a relaxed attitude to credit has meant most people can get their hands on a decent motor these days. I seem to remember a piece on the news a few weeks back about it.
