This is a game we really need to win to keep any Play-Off hopes alive but i fear this will be yet another draw 1-1
2 points per game will see us in or around the play-offs, but does it really matter if we're promoted or not? Name me five first team players who would be there in the Championship (and, sorry, not a dig at you, just saying it would be yet another false dawn)
I don't know if anyone's already replied to this, but here's my tuppence worth. Of the starting eleven proposed by dickplumb:
swap Rudd for our own 'keeper, put Tex in place of Konsa, and that is eleven who are good enough to stay in the Championship. Sure, they won't challenge for promotion, you'd want to get better than Chicksen and Crofts at some point, and bench would be thin apart from Konsa, but it's certainly more than five.

Reeves in on a free as well so only another 10 in for cover!
Really want to see Tony Watt at number 10. I even if it's for the last 30 mins once Magennis comes on. I think that may be his best position.
Will allow him to drop deep and collect the ball whilst Mag is the focal point of the attack and is able to keep their defense occupied.
I agree, and Magennis has the strength and pace to play as the lone forward. My one concern for Watt in that role is his vision and passing, it just doesn't seem to be very good. That said, it may be something that he chooses not to do, as opposed to not being good at, and as such Robinson may be able to coach it into him. To his credit, TWWW has put in some selfless shifts of late form the sounds of things.
I live nearby and am in the area now. There are a few tiny flecks of snow in the air but there's been no rain in the last few hours, none is forecasted and the temperature is well above freezing at 4 degrees.
The pitch will be heavy but I can't imagine there is any prospect whatsoever of the game being postponed.
Accordingly, another fun filled afternoon beckons ....
Maybe not today but it's certainly something that should be tried. Maybe at home against a lower opposition...
I agree but KR has positioned himself as a 1 up front man, so can't seem him adopting the two up mode with Watt and Mag.
I think playing Watt in the 10 role would do that well enough though. Watt likes to drop deep anyway, so it would simply give him more freedom to do that.
Watt, Holmes and Magennis on the pitch at the same time would totally fuck up any game plan any opposition tries to put in place and even if one of them didn't score because they've each got two defenders sitting on them it will mean the rest of the charlton players will have room to manoeuvre and exploit.
Oh! Will Chickson be fit as he limped off last week?
Ill not injured apparently.
Someone on Facebook had a photo of Rojo at blue water on crutches. Not that anyone was expecting him to play.
FIFA have just added Anfernee Dijksteel (brilliant name, does not get enough credit for having a brilliant name), so here's to hoping that helps launch his career (on the bench, while RoJo is out-hopefully permanently).
Not the day to attempt our Barcelona impersonation. The substitutions could prove important on a heavy and poor pitch, as could a degree of tactical flexibility if Plan A isn't working.

I like that, I might start with Tex instead of Konsa for his goal threat or even play Konsa instead of Aribo seeing as it is away. Forster Caskey looks great on paper as he looks like 2 players.

Watt, solly and Holmes

Wrap up warm.
Or just wear a T-shirt.
But the rain and snow has stopped so i can't see a problem with the match going ahead
