  • It is what it is. Just have to get on with it.

Along with 'At the end of the day' and 'With all due respect', is this the most pointless and annoying phrase in the English language?

    It's almost of 'PWR' proportions!
With all due respect, I like "it is what it is." At the end of the day, there's something very zen and accepting about it.
  • I;m hoping that after 60 mins on Saturday we will be clearer on knowing how Plymouths game is going & if they are not thrashing Gillingham then make a few subs & rest a couple of players - Ajose has had a lot of game time over the past 6 weeks having not played much in the previous 6 months. Like last sat, only have Mavadidi on the bench but also play Zyro & even one of teh young strikers (if we have any still fit). We don't have to win this game - a point will be enough & so player management is key. No point getting an injury to JFC, Aribo, Kashi etc on 85 mins.

Stephy Mavididi has returned to Arsenal after it was confirmed that the injury he sustained during Saturday's defeat to Bury will keep him out for the rest of the season.

The 18-year-old forward impressed for the Addicks during his short time on loan from the Gunners, but a scan has revealed a torn hamstring that will see him sidelined for at least three months.

"He saw a specialist last night and he's set for an operation at the start of next week, but it will keep him out for between 14-16 weeks," explained Valley boss Karl Robinson.

"He's been in tears which is sickening because he's been tremendous for us and we wish him all the best.

"He'a been a credit to his family and to Arsenal FC and we'd love to have him back next year."

Meanwhile, a grade-two hamstring injury could keep Jake Forster-Caskey sidelined for as many as four weeks, while Harry Lennon has stepped up his rehabilitation from a groin injury and could return to training within the next four weeks.

Elsewhere, Adam Chicksen is set to return to training on Thursday after recovering from a ligament strain, but Roger Johnson has been ruled out for the rest of the campaign after picking up an injury in training last month.

Fuck sake I read this without looking at the date and had a heart attack

The laceration to Lewis Page’s right knee is healing well and the full-back has started running again. He still has some fluid inhibiting his full muscle control about the knee but it is hoped that he could return to training within five to seven days.
So Page won't be back for the semis. He's had extraordinary back luck when it comes to injuries, as there have been so many of them, and most are "one offs" rather than a specific weakness with his body
  • Grateful if we could be a bit more savvy about using old threads for new information. Can get a bit confusing and unnecessary at times. Cheers all
