I wonder if Roger Alwen, Richard Collins, Martin Simons and Richard Murray would agree. I rather doubt it. But today is not the day.
There is no question that Mike was an important player in 1984 and subsequently. He deserves recognition and I'm glad he felt able to return to The Valley after a long, long absence towards the end of his life.
I think Mike was particularly proud of this letter, which I published in VOTV115, along with a major interview with him. He argued (convincingly) that it had been his decision to appoint Alan Curbishley and Steve Gritt to succeed Lennie Lawrence against some boardroom opposition, and at the time he had the clout to get his way.
I saw this headline and was very worried as a friend of my Dads from his time in London is also named Mike or Mickey Norris. Some of you may know him as Mickey the Fish, drinks in the RoD, I don't think hes going to games at the moment though.

Thank you for all you've done, Mike.
