Seems to have played a big part in obtaining both The Valley and Sparrows Lane as well as being a genuine longterm supporter of the Club.
The best kind of director.

I remember only him, Rick and myself at the first ever council meeting for the return to The Valley so will always get respect here for that.JohnnyH2 said:One of the major reasons the process to get us back to The Valley started.
Obviously I didn't get in

Seeing his name automatically makes me think of the battle to get back to the valley.

RIP. Although I never met him, is one of the 'founding fathers' of the people who made the return home possible.0

Yes, if I recall, he's the person who got Sunley's involved. If it wasn't for that, there would be no Charlton today. RIP Mike Norriswillieduff said:RIP Mike. A very influential part in us returning to the Valley.

I wonder if Roger Alwen, Richard Collins, Martin Simons and Richard Murray would agree. I rather doubt it. But today is not the day.Henry Irving said:http://www.cafc.co.uk/news/article/2016-17/charlton-mike-norris-rip-3629119.aspx

There is no question that Mike was an important player in 1984 and subsequently. He deserves recognition and I'm glad he felt able to return to The Valley after a long, long absence towards the end of his life.2 -
Really sad news. Hugely involved with keeping this club alive in 1984, the Selhurst exiled years and the return to The Valley.
Thank you for all you've done, Mike.

I think Mike was particularly proud of this letter, which I published in VOTV115, along with a major interview with him. He argued (convincingly) that it had been his decision to appoint Alan Curbishley and Steve Gritt to succeed Lennie Lawrence against some boardroom opposition, and at the time he had the clout to get his way.16 -

I saw this headline and was very worried as a friend of my Dads from his time in London is also named Mike or Mickey Norris. Some of you may know him as Mickey the Fish, drinks in the RoD, I don't think hes going to games at the moment though.0 -
Real shame, very sorry to hear this.0

May he rest in peace and rise in glory.0
