Interesting read. Would the signings of Ajose and Holmes count for these accounts? Although they were signed in June, the window didn't open to July 1st - so would they be in these figures or the next?
I believe you can sign players at any time; you just can't play them until the window opens. In practice, contracts are likely to begin on July 1st.

Ajose is named in the accounts as contributing to the total acquisition cost in 15/16; Holmes isn't.

Do the accounts show if there was any financial fine by the FA due to protests last year?
Remember at the time that it was highly likely that fines were going to happen to due to so much encroaching on the pitch etc?

As mentioned the trade debtors were very high at year end, which I guessed related to fees agreed but not yet paid for Ajose and Holmes.

That would be creditors, not debtors.

good analysis. A good indication of how difficult a sale may be as well. In that over the last 10 years, we've kept losing money.

It's going to take someone with some deep pockets and big ambitions to take this club on

Yes, but that's little different to any club outside The Prem.

I think there was only two years when we were in the prem that we made money.
One when we sold Parker and the other when we sold Bent.

But very few clubs in English pro football ever made a profit during that period; now it's no-one outside the PL that makes a profit.

True, and that's another hurdle. Why pick us when there are so many other loss making clubs to buy.

I think we're always considered an option given that we're London and have in recent history been in the Prem.

Didn't Walsall make a profit last year, and not for the first time?

Better than I thought, 11th year in succession; http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/37719889
