Agreed, but surely the Aussies would put out a statement if it was definitely off ?ShootersHillGuru said:If the Australian’s have “gone” and I’m not saying they havn’t. Surely the club ought to be making an announcement. The only reason I can see not is if CAFC are preferring to say nothing in order to gain leverage on any other lunatic interested parties.
Golfie’s about right with his assessment above though.
I’m never going to know why there are delays, because they won’t tell me. But they will confirm it’s still on when I harass them yet again ;-)
Can’t do that on a daily basis though.
It is going to happen. But it won’t be today. And it probably won’t be this week.

Eh?
Used to have a few games teachers who ended up in trouble (fortunately not with me) who had that nickname or similar. Mostly been investigated now.
Not really an endearment.2 -
This thread never fails to amaze me. People take unsubstantiated comments as gospel and repost at any opportunity as if this somehow gives Validity.
All rather pathetic3 -
It's Tuesday. So Van Truck for hire will be in for work.2

Eerily quiet on here!1

Seventeen days is in my opinion the new deadline. If it’s not over the line by 31st August why would anyone want to complete until January and suffer the monthly costs with no real way of influencing anything.
In the takeover prediction thread I predicted 1st January 2019. More as an attempt at humour but it’s starting to look like a decent shout.2 -

except that you can appoint a CEO, CFO etc etc, set budgets for player acquisitions in January, start sounding out potential signings ( via agents of course ;-) ), sort out other issues at the Club, engage with the fans properly and generally start running the Club as a proper Club. Wait till January and this season is definitely fucked.ShootersHillGuru said:Seventeen days is in my opinion the new deadline. But with only 6 players contracted after this season, those who will be out of contract can speak to other clubs from January, alongside a likely Roland fire sale.Starinnaddick said:
Well at least it is doubtful that he can get rid of Fosu, Pearce , Clarke and Reeves so things can only get better when they are fit.Covered End said:

doesn't really matter anymore. They really can affect this season now until January & by then the season is half way done and buying players in January usually means inflated prices as selling clubs know you're desperate (and in this case maybe having money)JamesSeed said:.

Also RD can't do much more damage. Once we get past Aug 31st RD can't get rid of any players & currently its only to foreign teams anyway......only really Bauer now would attract interest from overseas.0 -

There’s plenty of life in this old horse yet.
OK we’ve had poetry but no-one has touched on opera yet.
There have been house, car and shop selling analogies, but at no point has anyone likened the sale of the club to a surrogate pregnancy, and subsequent sale of the child.
I’m looking forward to the next 1000 pages.

Not to mention the many and varied tangents of which the 17th century Belgian ambassador was a particular favourite of mine although I would perhaps question that it would have been Flanders at the Court of St James in the 17th century rather than Belgium which only came into being in the early 19th century.HarryLime said:

See what fun can be had - cue puns based on late medieval and/or post-medieval historical research and/or the Simpsons (Ned Flanders - geddit!).
no, this can run and run and beats the hell out of reading endless and desperate clutching at straws posts about a takeover (sorry AFKB).1 -
