If we are not sold by June 30th We need to turn the pressure on RD massively as much as we can.

Enough is enough. So many interested parties and RD is just playing hardball. It's about time we did too, all of us as one.
By boycotting and not buying season tickets? Not enough want change enough for that as we have seen.
Again, its not about people not wanting change, everone wants him gone, some people need the football in their life to help them.

Also if Roland lost 1 million in ST sales, he would just sell Taylor to make up for
But the club would not be in his ownership for too long if they were playing to a near-empty stadium. Sadly, not enough fans wishing to make that sacrifice ( but I recognise any, or no action, is an individuals choice).

Wouldn't matter to RD if the ground was empty.

Guarantee that statement would be 100% reversed if it was made to EnglandOnline.

Made purely for the locals and very diplomatic.

He'd fill it with kids and comps in the short term, and reduce the playing budget to compensate

To those who thinking having an empty ground would force Roland to change his asking price and conditions, are fooling themselves. It would make no difference. If you look at Blackpool where fans boycotted and they had occasions when there where more away fans at their ground, it made no difference. What got the Oystons out was a legal battle over money, between so called business men. Or look at Coventry,  fans shunned games at Northampton and will again at Birmingham I would guess and it will make no difference to the hedge fund company SISU, who still own the football club and that must be nearly 10 years now.

Boycotting will make it easy for Roland to justify selling the ground and land for a plastic bowl somewhere off a dual carriage way.

Calm down everyone and just think about how excited CL was this time last year.

It's new season ticket application time again. That's the reason this has come out now and how many bought them last year cos they thought Roland was going?
So it was Roland that leaked this news when he knew it was going nowhere. He's playing fans like a fiddle.
Yes, the great RD media operation which recently put a CARD statement in full on the club website, referred to fans as "soft terrorists", demanded publicly that the EFL bought the club and routinely publishes statements that fall apart factually within hours has delivered another Machiavellian triumph via a Welsh website. In other news, the moon landings have been exposed as fake just weeks before the 50th anniversary of the first one...
Indeed, he's a sly old dog.

Promising change of ownership rumour crashes & burns after just a day in contact with the reality of attempting to deal with the nonsensical business madness that is Roland Duchatelet.

    Until Dalman completes tomorrow :-)

  • If RD is offered the price he wants he'll then decide it's too low and raise it...

If this gent is the "banker" that was rumored to be in the background then he has been about for a good few months. He will be aware that Rolands ego didn't visit planet Earth very often. He could have purchased a DD from one of the previous interested parties and his own experts do a gap analysis on it,therefore not starting at ground zero.

Options open to the gent from Cardiff:
    *Stay there
    *Leave football
*Leave and join as the majority partner in CAFC with what ever there is left of the Aussies
*Leave and be the total owner of CAFC

One statement he HASN'T put out "there is NO truth in the rumour that I'm leaving Cardiff. There is NO truth in the rumour im attempting to buy CAFC"

Sadly I feel that the Rat will be here at the start of this season, and we will face a very very tough future

I know this has been covered ad nauseam but if we were down to 5 thousand at the beginning of last season because of  mass boycotting then Cullen, Bielik and the goal scoring Wembley hero Purrington wouldn't  have been brought in and Taylor would've chose Sunderland instead of cafc.

The boycotting on a mass scale may have seen Duchatelet depart earlier But I'm convinced we would be starting from League 2 as some of the guys said was a price worth paying back all those years ago on that cold night in Woolwich to see the back of RD. That nightmare scenario could still be the outcome despite the fans answering Lee Bowyers clarion call and coming out in our numbers to help get Cafc promoted.

Now back to the non sale of Charlton.

Ignoring the non-denial denial, the very fact he gave that interview tells me he’s not even close.

If we were a matter of days away why give an interview at all and potentially back yourself in to a corner?

This still has a very long way to go.

Boycotting would only work if you had owners who couldn't afford to live with their losses from football - RD is obviously not in this category.

To me it reads more like a I"can't say anything about it so I'm going to say what Cardiff wants to hear for now" statement.

Doesn't mean it's dead, just means he's a diplomatic person who realises everything he says from now on will be under intense scrutiny so until he becomes our owner (if that happens at all) he is 100% committed to the people that currently employ him

    Seriously?

If that's not a statement of definite intent to remain at Cardiff I don't know what is.

It isn't going to happen. We're doomed, doomed, doomed.

A "statement of definite intent to remain at Cardiff" would look something like this:

"I can confirm that I intend to remain at Cardiff.  While there has been speculation linking me to an investment in another club, I can confirm I have no interest whatsoever in doing so. I will not be investing in any other club and remain fully focused on Cardiff City".

And probably wouldn't include the phrase: "Right at this moment in time...".

My feelings exactly. Been saying this for weeks (I know I'm not the only one.) Was looking forward to August but now I'm almost dreading it.

Just to clarify with the straw clutchers, the Welsh journo who interviewed him this morning tweeted saying “it’s fab news for bluebirds I think”
And according to Jim White we should have been sold months ago. (Just saying).

If RD is offered the price he wants he'll then decide it's too low and raise it...
Even then if the price is met, he'll demand payment in the cash equivalent of timber or artichokes.
    We've got him forever.
