can you say anymore on what you're hearing from the Aussies @JamesSeed
Well I’m frustrated by how long it’s taking, but it sounds like technical stuff to do with shifting money and proof of funds around. Disadvantage of consortia possibly.
I still expect Dalman to nip in any day now

Unless the DD hasn't been completed, the offer hasn't been accepted, or there are issues with funds (which is unlikely with Dalman), then why wait? For the Aussies, it has always been felt (and with some justification) that funding was the issue.

Key players are out of contract in 12 days and the transfer market is about to explode. Waiting risks missing opportunities.

I'm a fully signed up member of WIOTOS - anything else is conjecture and I fear we are still a way off from any deal being finalised.

That's the exact opposite of what The Times article says.
  • Guardian reporting in much the same terms

    Sorry, misprint by me.

‘It does look like fan power won the pay rise’!

    Thanks for spotting that!

  • 'certainly not days away'

    oh joy !

  • JW: How close are you to selling?
    RD: Huh? Huh? Huh? Huh?
    • The takeover is 'certainty not days' away.
    • Says there's a few (potential) owners interested.
    • Other Championship clubs are for sale.
    • Sounds like he's kept Bowyer for any potential new owners to make the club more 'attractive'.
    • The sooner the better.
  • no deal. Hate him.

The problem is, every time Gerard gets his ducks in a row, Roland appears on Talksport saying what a terrible investment football is, and half his investors run for the hills.

Have they just agreed to be part of it without looking at the books then?

  • We are no closer than we were 2-3 years ago.

It's all down to one man and one man only and hugely dependent on the tablets he's taking at the time.

This is how I feel now.  Delighted that Bowyer has signed, but suspect we have another season ahead with the loon.  I hope I am proved wrong!
  • If Jim White had anything about him, he would let Charlton fans call in and have their say and stick it on Roland

However he is so far up Roland’s arse he has not got the bottle to do that
    Well........you got that wrong didn’t you! :D

Bollocks, they will know what they are getting into. They are trying to find the investors and are continually failing.

Also a 'fully signed up member of WIOTOS' - but after the events of the past 12 hours - especially after what was placed on the Club site yesterday- I'm considering resigning. Also reading into Roland's statement on the radio this morning I agree with you, the takeover is a way off.

Heard slightly more positive news from Aussies just now. I was pretty despondent this morning, slightly less so now. At least they’re not completely out of the running.
I am greatful for anybody even remotely ITK to post on here. But a little less cryptically, would be better. Are you saying they are passing milestones with the acquisition, or are they now believe they can challenge a different takeover attempt?
Apologies. I actually misunderstood something they said, meaning I thought they were struggling with finances. I would have rated their chances of buying the club at 5% at that time. Bit higher now.
Further positive news today, although I still think Dalman is favourite.
I thought you could hear Roland's appalling body language on the radio today when questioned on the takeover.
