Calm down everyone ffs there's no way he meant it in that way.
I saw it and never made the connection and loled it.
Bad coincidence that's all I'm sure.
Er yes quite... if I've put my foot in it someone's going to have to explain to me. I just saw all the off topic Chinese jokes, PC gone mad etc. stuff and deemed this thread to be spiraling out of control. If there's another connotation, it wasn't what I meant.
Paddy is half Chinese. I have insider knowledge of that. He isn't much of a cook, does not own a take away, looks like himself, and has a great sense of humour. Those on here who persist in using racial stereotypes and bleat that others who object have a sense of humour by-pass, cause offence and contribute to the persistence of racism in society. However it continues on a regular basis, so I conclude they don't give a damn. Go up to Naby Sarr and tell him because he is black he must have a natural sense of rhythm yet be a crap swimmer...if you dare. I'll hold your coat.
Please can we not - I hear this sort of stuff every week, and reading it "in jest" is properly tiresome - and worse coming from fellow Charlton fans
Trust you're gonna take a dig at all the other "jokes" and not just mine....I might get offended.....singling me out....I'm going to HR, the council and the police.

The link between Dalman and Sala's plane crash? Appreciate you didn't mean it but rather obvious to me.
The Aussies have reduced their price. They’re now willing to take the club off Roland’s hands for £30m.
Fook me, that's Roland's tactics. Make an offer, if it's not accepted, reduce the offer. These clowns would be great at an auction.
Or maybe their view is the longer RD dicks around the less chance they have of putting a Championship squad together to stay up so the value reduces. Seems sound business sense to me.

Fine, let's do this.
- Beardface, in responding to "what's the sample size", referring to Chinese owners of UK football clubs previously, saying "1.4bn".
VERDICT: factual (population reference), amusing to some, generally irreverent. Absolutely no stereotyping. I didn't find it funny, but nor did I find it offensive, so no lol.
- soapy_jones "I think it is time for Chinese jokes..."
VERDICT: No it isn't because we all know where this is going.
- soapboxsam with "I did hear a whisper..."
VERDICT: Chinese whispers is a game played mainly by children, referring to rumours and such. Quite appropriate for the takeover thread. Some might construe the base etymology - language/cultural barriers - as a little offensive, but not me. Clever. I didn't lol it though.
- CH4RLTON with "I know who the backer is - Win One Soon".
VERDICT: straight from the "ling long ching chong" school of "ooh their language is all funny noises". Offensive. Bugger that.
- ForeverAddickted with "or it could be Fookin Any Un".
VERDICT: see above. Offensive. Bugger that.
- Johnnysummers5 with "this could become the takeaway thread".
VERDICT: HAHAHAHA YEAH SO FUNNY WE ALL OWN TAKEAWAYS ISN'T THAT WHAT THE CHINESE ARE IN THIS COUNTRY FOR. That's basically what it fucking is. My brother, at a university open day, was one asked - with no hint of irony - "so what takeaway do your parents own"? Yeah it's never funny and always reductive.
- Dave2l saying something about Zheng Zhi.
VERDICT: no idea what he meant but it doesn't look offensive? Maybe it's a whoosh for me. Whatever.
- soapy_jones with "that's my Chinese man dentist joke back in the can".
VERDICT: Joking about the jokes at best; "Oh no, I can't be casually racist" at worst. I dunno. Either way, I've heard it all before. It's a shit joke and is invariably accompanied by a crude accent when told in person.
- captainbob with "1975, Chinese jokes are banned".
VERDICT: Yeah this is pretty funny. Combines Happy Valley and his fact of the year for each page; Chinese governmental oppression (which is something I stronglydislike and am uncomfortable with); and is a good observation on Henry's post. Fair play.
- Mal with "should take it all on the Chin".
VERDICT: offensively unfunny, but more of a terrible pun than anything racially stereotypical or anything.
- The Red Robin, responding to Seth's comment about takeaways with "you can dine in at some [Chinese restaurants] too".
VERDICT: Oh good, more mileage out of the Chinese and catering. NB I know TRR is generally a decent poster and all, and I'm not giving a "pass" or anything, but this was probably more failed and misguided etc
- Arry Addick (you) with "these all look the same to me".
VERDICT: All the Chinese look the same is such a well-known racial stereotype. Grow up.

I'm sure he hadn't seen those posts @Weegie Addick amongst all the jokes which he was pointing at and even if he had didn't register them in the context of the gif.
Really not Exiled's style to make fun out of something like that.
Exiled posted the gif of the plane spinning out of control.
I believe it was a coincidence that it appeared on the same day that more info came about the Sala situation and people on here started to discuss if Dalman was implicated.

So many comments unrelated to takeover now I am unsure what's intended as a joke and what's news.
If genuine the offer of 30m has reduced from what sum and inclusive of directors loans or not?
Make an offer, if it's not accepted, reduce the offer.
