  • I wish they had said "But interviews taking place back end of this week with EFL" earlier, then I would not have had to keep looking on here all week for news............come to think of it, yes I would  :)

Could do - we're in Tewkesbury. Although we usually take the Oxford Tube and then Underground/DLR rather than drive all the way in.
My mate (Charlton supporting) lives in Tewkesbury.
  • Once interview done what else?.
  • If they don’t pass they’ll adjust and be reinterviewed.
its not dead if they fail.
unless they pull out of course
  • It’s happening!
  • There is no earthly reason I can think of that would lead them to fail the F&P test.

    Relax everybody.
  • I am sure I read somewhere that paperwork was submitted 2 or 3 weeks ago so would assume if there were any massive red flags they would have been advised by now. It would make sense that the interviews come at the end of the process as an opportunity to clarify anything that has has come up during the review and rubber stamp the approval. Fingers crossed we'll have confirmation by the weekend!

But then again this would all assume some level of due process and competence on the part of the EFL so who knows!

    "They haven't got the money"

The hold ups I see as possible (I'M NOT SAYING THIS IS THE CASE) are that TN and JH are involved in so many companies it takes a long time to check and that MS's past as an agent could be a conflict of interest and that would have to be clarified.

I personally agree with Bob, who works in football remember.

It takes as long as it takes. The EFL don't care about it being 5 December or how impatient some of us are.

We should start the Gloucestershire branch

  • Going into an exam tomorrow, approx 4 hours with no contact to the outside world, praying for some good news when I finish about 5pm.
  • Next Friday we are live on Sky, can see it being official before that game

  • I've always said I would too!
So that's why Guy left...  you absolute hound dog!
  • Mad how impatient people are. We’ve put up with the old scrote for 6 years, I’m sure we can wait another week for it to be official.

All the staff contracts will be ongoing now anyway, it’s just a case of when not if.

If people find it difficult to travel to The Valley, perhaps there's something the club could do to address the problem directly? Possibly some kind of subsidised transport  to home games, maybe using a fleet of coaches that could pick supporters up from various locations throughout the South East, wherever there were sufficient numbers of fans to justify it?

Not sure what you'd call it, though.
I'd like the club to give me a lift, perhaps they could chauffeur every fan in?
  • On transport, it’s been fine while there’s been less then 15k in the ground, but it does struggle when there is 20k plus in, and getting improvements would be useful. Valley Express back to its old levels to reduce the amount of car journeys, decent link to North Greenwich is still required, and potentially getting people to Woolwich to use Crossrail when it finally opens.
  • SE trains running 6 or 8 coach trains doesn't help.
