It's not unusual to see someone have that many directorships, I know of one who has over 1,000. He sets up shell companies ready to go, it's his job, probably the same for this guy, he is a solicitor after all.

He's head of corporate for JMW Solicitors.

At least he satisfies one of "Henry Irving"'s criteria

Not sure why you've put my name in quote marks but yep businesses need an exit strategy, it's basic stuff.

You know lots of Palace fans @Addickted wasn't McHugh one of your sources?

Cos' turkeys just wanna hav fun
Turkeys are cool, turkeys are wicked
An every turkey has a Mum.....
    Great poem!
Used to come to our school and do poetry lessons in the library. The most boring thing I've ever done

  • I've got a feeling its going to happen today as its my Birthday.
    I'm 71 today, yes 71 and I don't look it.
    John, Happy Birthday!
  • Happy birthday J,

our man is getting closer, moved from Budapest to The Hague.

Fingers crossed, only a short skip over the water...
I reckon he's selling diamonds to fund the purchase

Well I’m confident that the relationship won’t be an issue. Amanda Staveley said that it was nothing to do with her guy (Sheik Mansour)
So, proof and source of funds already provided, assurances given regarding any link with Sheikh Mansour, and the individuals concerned have surely passed the fit and proper test based on their business CVs.

The EFL would appear to have had all the information they required by close of play Tuesday. Why the f*cking delay????

I'm hoping it's now just down to how long it has to pass through their internal processes versus the resources they have available at this time of year to get all the other bits and pieces on their plate finalised.

People off etc maybe.  Guesswork on my part, but I think we must be close to it now

    That's slanderous.

Not McHugh though I have had dealings with him. My source is still there.
  • I just hope he doesn't end up in Woolwich with that suitcase containing £60m in gold bars..

If he had £60m in gold bars, it wouldn't fit in a suitcase!

One would hope they have been ticking things off as they've gone along - interviews (check), proof of funds (check), business plan (check) and so on - with the link with Mansour being the last one.

He's probably the courier hoping to pay RD for the club with a suitcase full of counterfeit cash traveling via boat back to Hull afterwards.

No. you'd need a little over 120 "good delivery" gold bars.  The weight would be around the same as an average SUV.

I think you may have written the words for your epitaph  ... 'I told 'em the next two weeks were gonna be crucial!'

Not quite Spike Milligan, but getting there.

ESI have Shaun McHugh – formerly a finance director at Crystal Palace during Simon Jordan’s reign – at Charlton to get a financial overview.

    how did that end again?
Don't worry, he also did a four month stint at Bolton prior to one of their winding-up petitions.
