Have the EFL 'clearly' responded within 10 days? Links? Failure by the EFL to approve the deal is obviously impinging on our ability to deal with current players and targets. See Taylor controversy.
The duty of the EFL is to provide a level playing field for all members. They have failed with reneging on FFP which undermined Duchatelets ambitions for Charlton. They have failed on sale of grounds circumventing FFP rules.
Their response to RDs ridiculous proposal to buy the club was fairly swift. Why are they sitting on their hands after latest challenge?
Their prevarication is damaging our chances to compete in this league.
LB has said that he has spoken to the new (hopeful) owners, I am sure him and Gallen have said the players they would like and the present one to keep, and probably some talks with agents have already been held, so as long as it done by January 1st, what is the hurry, apart from saving some finger nails

So they have interviewed all those people but not responded.
They have investigated the source of funds but are prevaricating?
Duchatelet is suddenly a reliable source and to be believed totally while ESI are lying when they say it's all going as planned.
As for the EFL sitting on their hands it's been all of about two hours and still no response. How quick to you want them to be?

It would be great if it could get done asap so Gallen as clarity.
But that's no reason for the EFL to cut corners. If ESI and/or Duchatelet haven't provided the proof required then they can't sign off the deal.

But aren't ESI saying they have provided all the details denying any link with man city which by all reports is the reason for the hold up ? If that's the case why is there a delay still ?

No idea but EFL haven't said that.
We're getting conflicting stories from ESI and RD and no comment from the EFL.
I just don't get why people are so willing to believe Duchatelet.
I'd love to know what's done and what remains to be done, I'd guess we all would, and what if anything is holding things up.
My guess is that ESI have submitted the evidence and McHugh,on behalf of the EFL, is now going through it to make sure they tick all the boxes but I don't know how long that will take or even if that's all there is. As I said it's a guess.

Ross you are forgetting the role of agents. If we make a decent bid for a player, it can be concluded quickly. If we approach a player and say we can offer you X whenever takeover happens, he can tout around clubs and say Charlton are offering X can you give us Y?
That's all very well Henners but at current interest rate levels I reckon the Rat is losing circa £2739 a day on say £50m 😈. And every pound is a prisoner to him.

Don't for get the bills that fall due at the end of the month, taht must come to 7 figures?
Henry can you provide any evidence on why the EFL are sitting on their hands or have responded to our application or asked for clarification of funds? There was no suggestion of either in RD statement.
OK the OS piece went out only two hours ago but it was fairly implicit that CAFC had not heard from EFL for some time.

You mean Duchatelet doesn't actually give a f*** about new players or his suddenly "hard working" staff ( must be first praise he's even given them but still no bonus) but just himself and his money?
