No histrionics. No hyperbole. Just "ordinary" fans fighting for the soul of their club. No scripts - just each and every one of them speaking, unrehearsed and from the heart.
The Guardian has no axe to grind. No angle. No reason to support protesting fans. They were just reporting. This is the unvarnished truth.
Let's be clear, CARD did not (as some say) hi-jack the protests. It simply gave form and voice to feelings that many had but could not, for a variety of reasons, translate into actions.
How any fan can see that video and still say "I want to give the regime yet another chance" is beyond me.
Yes, we probably all feel that we've had enough of protesting from time to time But what's the alternative? Roll over and let them stick it to us? Because that's what they're doing.

The eloquent & respected Clive Harris says it all in the final clip ....that sadly it isn't just our problem in SE7 but that of football in general & those who love the Beautiful Game.
But we can influence what happens at OUR football club & have no doubt...the fight will continue until Charlton Athletic FC is finally rid of its very own infamous vermin.
I used to have to type up lectures for a previous boss from his MSc course on sports regulation/management at Birkbeck uni. I'm sure Sean Hamil was often the lecturer as it used to take me ages to type up 2 hours of his continuous talking with his softly spoken N.Irish accent. v passionate/knowledgable - what a fascinating job!

It's funny how the press can misinterpret a situation. Katrien told me that Roland saved the club, is building a new stand and I believe her. The guardian is making this all up. The protests didn't happen.

I have come to the conclusion that RD clearly does not give a toss what the supporters think or do - he just doesnt care - in actual fact i sometimes think hes enjoing it in a perverse sort of way. Doesnt mean that we should all roll over and let our belly be tickled- lets keep protesting , both here and in Belgium and re-double our efforts again. We might need to be a bit more 'edgy' with our protests. For example, if we were to get enough people (say, 10) to come along to most ST games then we can legally interrupt his concept of Rvue/Dancing after the game so that its impossible to do. I'm sure thats something that would annoy him more than anything.
Well done all......not sure anyone could slagging off any of the speakers as all were articulate and made their point easily. Highlight was the listed building analogy, also thanks to the Guardian for the brilliant coverage.
I'm not sure what the Guardian has gained by producing this but I'm very glad they did.
It's no consolation but it does appear that our organised protests and original actions have provided us more press publicity than any of the other troubled clubs and that's down to CARD and the other organisations to whom I, as an overseas fan (though currently in London) would like to thank. Without CARD videos like this and the numerous press articles would never have been aired or written.
Still awaiting comments from others who represents the "new 2%" - supporters of the regime.
My mojo for continuing the protests outside the ground was flagging before watching this video and now I can say I have been well and truly energised by it. I was going to turn up to protest as and when before the game on Sunday. Now I will get there that bit earlier. Well done whoever put this together and well done for re-inspiring fans like me.
