If Holmes and Magennis didn't get injured this season, we would have challenged for the play offs. He's too good for us, but don't think he'd play every week in a Championship side
We were pants and can't defend for toffee.
Pearce is the guy we missed, and we sold a LB to Wendies and replaced him with a 5 foot loanee.
If the club sell Holmes then KR will have no grounds for spouting any top six ambitions, and the "board" will just show that they have not learned from the YK mistake they made on day one.
Very bizarre to pick on Da Silva. He started playing and we started winning. It was the games we wasted on Page that cost us. I'd say Da Silva is a strong contender for our best player when he played.
KR includes him in his list of signings in January, but then didn't play him for 2/3 months
Without Ricky Holmes this season, I think we'd now be preparing for life in League 2 next season.
He's only got one more year on his contract, so unless the club offer him an extension on acceptable terms, I can't see the inept and clueless Meire and Duchatelet allowing his present deal to run down. They have, since January 2014, demonstrated zero interest in retaining our best players, notwithstanding the fact that this is plainly a pre-requisite for building a successful side.
The short-term duration of Holmes' deal is brutally ironic, when Nabby Sarr, Teixeira and Vetokele have 3, 3 and 2 years respectively to run on their lucrative contracts. Collectively, their wages have been estimated to be costing Charlton around £1.4 million p.a. (£1.8 million if you add Tony Watt).

As said before. Holmes is today's Yann Kermogant. Without him we're nothing. Surely we can't make the same mistake again. Give him what he deserves or spend a fortune and fail when trying to replace him.

Da Silva is infinitely better than Fox
Just saying
Our inability to score is what's cost us
To be fair they did let Cousins win it twice before selling him...
NOT FUNNY
