I'm not gonna lie, I'm intrigued to hear more about @MuttleyCAFC 's earlier comment about how his first boss was this old geezer's boyfriend. It's got to be one of the most obscure things I've ever read on here
Not much more I can add - I started work in 1983 and my boss was the boyfriend (not so much boy - short bald middle aged guy) of the actor who played Amos in Emmerdale.
Today should be an interesting day either way. I expect Amos to sign, Erwin to go somewhere (Scotland, us, who knows but he definitely exited his Leeds contract to prevent whatever club he has lined up paying a development fee) and the decision to be announced about Stewart. We'd be crazy not to take him on a free in my opinion.
Queue a day of refreshing this thread and nothing notable happening...
The way we are going this year we are going to be playing 4-6-0.
Alan Turing told Roland in a vision that the plan is to never concede, and get points from the opposition scoring own goals supplemented by getting several penalties.
Turing says draw 26 and win 20 using the own goal/penalty theory, and if it doesn't work, sack Robinson.
He played 23 games for Hudds and got promoted from league 2 with Southend (then went on to be their player of the year the season after in league one).
Not a bad CV for a 22 year old but as many have said, is an attacking centre mid a priority when that's where Fosu had stated he is best and we have Clarke, Watt & Holmes who can cover.
Would much rather see the club address the crisis situation with our strikers.
Good post as usual from @Grapevine49 back a ways. Just to add weight though the culprite's are going to be members of the crowd. We are bringing on some new youngsters who have not played at this level , and where they have, it's been infrequently. Lets get behind the players we have, not on their backs. Nothing positive will ever come of attacking our own players.

Those two aren't going to be great cover tbf!
It would be very worrying if Clarke isn't even good enough to be cover the number 10 spot bearing in mind he is definitely not a winger or striker (I.e. number 10 is his best spot).
He played most of the season for Bradford who finished in the playoffs and went all season unbeaten at home so I'd argue that he must atleast be good enough to cover this role, if not to take this shirt himself.
Although I appreciate he hasn't looked impressive in the friendlies to date.
This is ridiculous yet again just like last pre-season we have only one goalkeeper not to mention needing a 20 goal striker! !! Not gonna happen coz RD doesn't give two shits about us!!!

The problem is that playing 4-2-3-1, no striker or ten is going to get 20+ goals. I can begrudge that formation away but not at the Valley.

@MuttleyCAFC how long were they together?

One week left to start of season and we have little goalkeeper cover and look likely to lose our only decent striker.
