I wonder if Amos was the gk Robinson said he 'knew who he wanted' but 'had to be patient'?
Bolton said ages ago they were happy to get rid so unless Amos was mulling over another offer, is this another example of KR not getting his first choice?0 -
I am forever making salient points on this website, full of well thought out arguments with evidence to back them up, and they disappear every time. Here's an example of one I posted the other day:Redrobo said:Hey, where did my other paragraphs go?

I've heard it's Magennis that is said to be engineering a move not Konsa. This is due to Magennis requesting silly money to extend his contract. So Charlton have said he's available. It could be bullshit.2

Anyway, what I said is that there is no mention of the unity that SCP bought to the club, the staff, and supporters to help drive us forward. When the team went 1nil down, the singing just got louder.moutuakilla said:

Rollo does not have this; although he has tried to engage with us the fans and bring us onside. Without going over all the same arguments again, I do hope that all those going to home and/or away games give the team 100% support during the game. They deserve this from us as a minimum.
In fact I beg you to give your all,
...as I am not sure I can take much more of this shit league.

I do of course mean Robbo.0

Dills needs to play games. Wasted sitting on the bench all season2

Always enjoy your posts Grapevine but that absolutely nails how I feel about things. A couple of decentish signings to get people excited enough and to blinker them from the obvious holes and a few youngsters to paper over the cracks.
The money Roland has received from transfers and we still see nothing in the way of proper purchases. And people still want to hand their money over to him baffles me.
People will say Roland knows nothing about football. I disagree, he targeted us, got us at a steal and pilfered our academy to the tune of millions at a time it was and still churns out very good prospects and if he does sell it will be for a profit. Stupid he is not.6 -
So, with the Magennis revelations, does this mean that Konsa doesn't want to go?1
-
I don't know, but it seems clear that what was posted earlier was in reference to Magennis, not Konsa. AB has said he's heard there is a 3.5m bid on the table for Konsa. I guess we have to hope the club turns it down. He doesn't seem to be agitating for a move at this point.killerandflash said:So, with the Magennis revelations, does this mean that Konsa doesn't want to go?

add in Bowyer said he thought he might move this window. I guess the club are waiting to see if other offers are received, if not they will likely take the 3.5m on offer.SDAddick said:

I am happy with Amos. Crucially he worked with Lee Turner at Bolton.4

The dance band leader? Does he know the 'red red robin'?1

Southends player of year in 15/16
Attacking midfielder7 -
Thought KR said we didn't need any central midfielders? Or is he a winger?0
-
He played 23 games for Hudds and got promoted from league 2 with Southend (then went on to be their player of the year the season after in league one).
Not a bad CV for a 22 year old but as many have said, is an attacking centre mid a priority when that's where Fosu had stated he is best and we have Clarke, Watt & Holmes who can cover.
Would much rather see the club address the crisis situation with our strikers.1 -
Today should be an interesting day either way. I expect Amos to sign, Erwin to go somewhere (Scotland, us, who knows but he definitely exited his Leeds contract to prevent whatever club he has lined up paying a development fee) and the decision to be announced about Stewart. We'd be crazy not to take him on a free in my opinion.1

Or its a fact we're not getting Reeves and he's and like for like?OhEddieYouds said:He played 23 games for Hudds and got promoted from league 2 with Southend (then went on to be their player of the year the season after in league one).
