He actually said in another interview that I can't find online that we offered him a three year deal on more money but it didn't feel right. Callum Reilly, decent young player with loads of second tier appearances. Would've been a good signing.
Sercombe has always been decent for League One as well. Don't think he'd make the step up though.1 -

At the end of the day we are currently a mid table league 1 team with a crackpot owner and laughing stock CEO.
What young ambitious player is going to really want to come here?
Yes we are a probably the biggest club in league 1 but also probably the worst run.
If I was given the choice between us and say Bury/Fleetwood/Bradford who by all accounts are well run and ambitious I know where I would be going.
Expect players at the end of their careers after one last payday (Crofts), unmanageables (Watt) or Driesen "recommendation's" !!!5 -

Robinson at MKD described us as a 'basket case'.
The only players we will get is Johnson like mercenaries with jumped up agents, or innocent youngsters or foreigners.

The club will definitely make a 'marquee signing' in an attempt to appease the fans. In all honesty every season in the summer window there has been at least one player they've forked out big on. The problem is this signing will be either A) One the manager doesn't want , or B ) One that completely contrasts with our play style.
As much as I think Robinson is a mediocre manager at best I think if the club let him, and only him, dictate the incomings this summer we'd be a strong, yet uninspiring top 6 side, which I think most of us would take at this stage.5 -

Dawson would have been a good signing last season but we've now got JFC, Aribo, and Konsa i'd rather see play there than Dawson now.
Not going to lose any sleep over Lacey. If you read the link he says he might not have been guaranteed first team football at one team which suggests that would be us given we have Pearce, Bauer, Texeiria, Lennon and Konsa.
Sercombe and Maddison would be great additions to the team if they can happen, in the meantime I won't be worrying about players being snapped up by Bury and Gillingham who probably wouldn't get into the team anyway. Beckford is a maybe but still only a maybe, there's probably better options out there.

I don't know if Dawson is the right man or not, but our midfield still needs a player who is determined, aggressive, and consistent, and has a body still able to do the things his mind is willing to.Covered End said:

Step up to what ? The championship ? haha lets worry about that once we get an owner who wants what's best for a football club, someone who actually wants to win games.
