  • Sad news, he was a national treasure.
  • I knew he had been in very bad health for a long time but I really hoped he would make it to his 90th. But sadly it wasn't meant to be :'(.

    RIP!
  • Someone's already said it but he was literally an institution. RIP

Guess how old he was ;0)
  • No one can say he didn't have a good game, good game.

    RIP.
  • Yes, he wasn't the sort to not be on TV at all after presenting a major show - it was clear he wasn't good health wise.
  • RIP Bruce.
  • A man with true talent, who,s role today on TV is filled by largely talentless jerks. RIP thanks for the memories.

To have been around in showbiz for so long and rarely if ever got embroiled in any major controversy is one hell of an achievement. Especially in this day and age with the media scrutinising your every move and just waiting to pounce.......they tried a few times too!
Brucie kept his counsel and his nose pretty clean.
A consummate professional of the first order and a credit to the showbiz profession.
Well done old fella......you can say in all honesty....."I did it my way".
    RIP.....Brucie.....RIP.
  • RIP. Part of our lives for so many years.

  • He used to wind my up as a limelight hogger in Strictly in his last few years, but he's length of career at the top end was quite incredible. Real institution in light entertainment

    RIP
  • RIP a true show biz legend
  • RIP Sir Bruce
  • Bless him. Brought a tear to my eye.

    Simply the best.

    Goodnight Bruce.
  • R.I.P. An institution on TV for decades. Doubt there will be another like him.

  • All the Saturday Night entertainers from the the sixties and seventies are going The Two Ronnies,Cillia Black, and now Bruce Forsyth, who I spoke to at Wimbledon(tennis)I had a ticket for the private enclosure in 2007.I should have got his Autograph.
  • Another hero of my youth so sadly passes on - many a Saturday night spent watching him on the generation game with my parents.

    RIP Brucie
  • I found him mundane but there's no doubt he was very professional.
  • Top class entertainer. Lights have gone out on a great man.
  • Didn't he do well? RIP
  • Very sad news , RIP Brucie
  • Never really watched anything he was in, but still feel a sense of loss, which says something. RIP

    Mmmmmm....you mean professionally mundane then?
Just seen the BBC1 tribute programme.......mundane is a word one could nor ever should associate with Bruce......not ashamed to say it brought a little tear to my eye at the end of the programme.

Great all round entertainer from the variety theatre to TV host of many enjoyable shows.
Sadly missed by those who knew him and the viewing public in general.
Always willing to take the mickey out of himself.
    RIP - Sir Bruce
