Solly: 6.5 first half very good but after their goal he struggled. seems to find it difficult with marshall to get any attacking momentum down that side.

Konsa: 6 again first half fine but second half wobbled a bit with sarr not helping.

Sarr: 5 yet again first half he was good but he was unchallenged. second half they targeted him in the air. which he failed to deal with. both of their goals he missed important headers that for any half decent centre half is criminal.

Kashi: 5 got caught on the ball several times which nearly lead to a goal. why he had to challenge for the penalty? was not needed as their player was heading away from goal with konsa holding him off. best thing he did was his run through the centre which led to our second goal. shame he or JFC cant do that more often.

DaSilva: 7 played well as always.

Marshall: 5.5 got the pace. got the skill. but why does he hardly ever burst down the wing like a winger should. frustrating as solly wanted to put the ball in behind their full back to set marshall lose but apart from once or twice marshall never looked to go forward. needs to improve this as without a striker he has to get the running round the back of them. maybe players like reeves then could thread the ball to him.

Forster-Caskey: 6.5 should of scored the header. he played well without causing too much threat. like to see him move forward more if he can.

Reeves: 5.5 meant to be a playmaker but the problem is he has no one to pass to for the through balls when there's no striker or willing runners.

Holmes: 6.5 gives it his all and won us some free kicks with his mazy runs. after beating 1 or 2 men he needs to look up. must be frustrating for other team mates who never know when he might pass the ball. set pieces were poor.

Magennis: 7 hassled their defenders well and in the first half was well supported with a team as a whole pressing their players. second half we couldn't keep this up so he became isolated.

Sarr: 8 (MOTM) - Love how the fans are chanting his name, was immense would have gotten a 10 BUT mistimed his header which made it 1-1
    ce

Did you also miss him being outjumped for their first goal and missing a header that let to the mix up for the penalty?
Excellent 1st half but poor 2nd half

Went forward with an excellent shot in the first half.

Golbourne set one up for them but then scored a blinding volley for us, so he can have a 7 as well

    Brilliant cross and brilliant finish.

Amos: 6 - not because he was poor but because he didn't have anything to do. The ball in for their first was excellent, nothing he could have done.

Solly: 7.5 - Looked much better but he still looks really slow running with the ball. Had two or three great 1-v1 tackles.

Konsa: 6.5 - started brilliantly, so calm, composed, and comfortable on the ball but lost his head after the goal. He was not alone in this and I suspect he'll learn a lot from today.

Sarr: 7.5 - after the first 60 minutes I was ready to nominate him for the ballon d'or. Was outjumped for the goal, though admittedly it was an inch perfect ball. Sometimes he relies a little too much on his athleticism to get him out of trouble when defending. It may sound weird but sometimes it's like it's almost a little too easy for him. He'll also learn a lot from that match.

I think it should be noted that this is the first time Konsa and Sarr have started at center back together in the league and I think we saw why. Despite the fact I think they're our two in form center backs, after the goal yesterday the youth/inexperience of them really showed. Hopefully Bauer is fit for Tuesday because I think his calmness and reading of the game are underrated and were really missing.

Kashi: 6 - it was his birthday and I so desperately wanted him to do well but he was clearly trying too hard and had his worst game of the season.

DaSilva: 7.5 - Easy to take him for granted but he is a lovely player. Still learning the game but has all the tools.

Marshall: 6 - struggled to get involved and missed a great chance to put us two up. Showed flashes of what he can do but drifted in and out of the game. All to be expected from a proper winger in his first league start of the season. More to come from him.

Forster-Caskey: 7.5 - headed over when he probably should have scored but it wasn't an easy chance. Helped run things in midfield for the first 60 minutes. Unlucky his deflected shot came off the inside of the post. It was a day of fine margins that didn't quite break for us.

Reeves: 7 - Showed glimpses of what he can do, and how he's different from Clarke. So calm on the ball, so good at keeping possession, and yet still a real nuisance when pressing. Also expect more to come from him.

Holmes: 8 MOTM - Kept driving at them. Pressed and closed down really well. Looks like the break helped rejuvenate him as it felt like he did a lot more running. Assist.

Magennis: 7.5 - Got a goal that he desperately needed. Pressed and closed down really well. Another for whom the break probably helped a lot as he looked shattered against AFCW. A goal with your feet on Tuesday night please Josh.

Amos: 6.5 - Did OK, but distribution slow at times
Solly: 6.5 - Unspectacular, but one good tackle
Konsa: 6 - Some excellent play but his slip almost lost the game (when Aneke was through and missed)
Sarr: 7 - Solid mostly, though his one error in every game (when turned by Aneke) is still there
Kashi: 7.5 - Despite giving away the late penalty, he played well. Storming run to set up the (what should have been) winning goal.
DaSilva: 6.5 - Targeted on height, he did OK generally
Marshall: 6.5 - A good game and a shame he missed the best chance he had; nice to have a winger back in the team!
Forster-Caskey: 6.5 - Solid if unspectacular; shame his deflected chip hit the post and came out
Reeves: 7 - Lots of classy moments when he wasn't being kicked
Holmes: 6 - Many blind alleys found but never gives up
Magennis: 7.5 (MoM) - Fantastic first half when riled, but then disappeared in the second

Ref: 4 - Easily bullied by both sides, and his linesman

Amos: 6 - very little to do. One fairly routine save in the first half
Solly: 6.5 - played pretty well
Konsa: 6 - we looked a little shaky in the last half hour
    Sarr: 6 - ditto
Kashi: 6 - excellent first half but dipped in the second, despite his strong run to help set up the second goal.
DaSilva: 7.5 - his usual high quality, entertaining performance
Marshall: 6 - some nice touches but still working his way back to full fitness
Forster-Caskey: 7 - another strong performance, although we were overrun in midfield in the second half. Should have scored with his header but at least he’s getting into the right positions
Reeves: 5 - unimpressive but he’ll come good. We need him to do so, with Clarke out for a few weeks
Holmes: 6.5 - not much came off but worked tenaciously as usual
Magennis: 7.5 - much better from Josh. The goal should really help him

    7s all round except:

Konsa 6.5 Bad mistake nearly gave away a goal

Reeves 6 not sure what he brings

Magennis 8 Scored and put himself about. All you can ask from a striker of his type

Yes back to the proper stuff, your marks please:

Amos: 7 don't think he did anything wrong
Solly: 7 noticed him a bit more today, such a tidy player if unspectacular
Konsa: 6 horrible error and we should (almost unbelievably) have been 2-1 down. I like to think he really just wants to stay at The Valley...
Sarr: 7 made mistakes and terrible finish but dominated in the air
Kashi: 7 not a particularly good game, but he's exactly what we need there and freed up JFC to gave a very good game
DaSilva: 7.5 pretty complete full-back performance today
Marshall: 6 needs to settle in probably, lack of end product
Forster-Caskey: 7.5 played some really good football
Reeves: 6.5 looked good, but not sure he created all that much (could be wrong here)
Holmes: 7.5 ran at them, won free kicks - seemed to be involved in everything
Magennis: 7 touch looked a lot better today and another goal

Fosu-Henry: n/a must be livid to be back on the bench after his patch of form
Ahearne-Grant: n/a noticed a poor attempted cross in his cameo and that was about it, not his fault - but we need a better option. Did pressure the defender a little in the o.g... but he has to be there.
