*press release** After close consultation with the fans the balloon release was cancelled for environmental reasons. The owner and the board would like to publicly thank the Red Arrows for stepping in at late notice to help us celebrate 25 years Back at The Valley.
Seems a lot of people congratulations Charlton on the twitter thread. I imagine 0.00% of the people praising Charlton will actively start putting finances into the club.
It's a shame people complaining didn't provide an alternative to releasing balloons.
If the Balloon release had occurred tomorrow, then Roly would had gone into hiding for a few weeks when the wildlife community would have popped over to Belgium to have words! He's had a rough week already

Wasnt this discussed at last weeks meeting? So far this was the only thing the Club had announced about tomorrow. Are the happy clappy things not bad for the environment too, not forgetting the trees felled to produce them, or is Daisy going to collect them all afterwards and put them in her recycling bin?
The difference between taxis, pigs, balls and happy clappy things is that they are not released indiscriminately. All would be collected and either saved or binned (hopefully in a responsibly). Balloons on the other hand can get anywhere. Human litter is a huge problem for wildlife. We should seek to be responsible for the environment no matter what we do. Sure balloons are fun, but I'm sure it's not beyond the wit of the club and the fans to find other ways of enjoying the day.

Hopefully doesn't cut it stig. If there's a chance of even one taxi, pig, ball or happy clap making the correct bin they shouldn't be done

I hate Roland but this is ridiculous
You made no mention of the protest items but when someone else did you suddenly jumped on that having been shown up by stig and others.
Now you throwing childish insults, that aren't even insults but you're too dim to realise that, about, because you've made yourself look silly.
I couldn't give a toss about balloons or no balloons but your mock outrage over it is hilarious.

See you tomorrow you miserable bunch.
