  • Stevens and Henry combined figures so far of 13 overs 2-39.

Much has been said about the batting in this competition, but these two are just as vital.
  • Stevens has been hit for just the one boundary in 8 overs. That's just stupid.

    Big time.

Stevens has been hit for just the one boundary in 8 overs. That's just stupid.

    Still so underrated.

If anything deserves a promote, this is it.

In brighter news, Lawrence is finally out for 115.

His brother Peter played a few games for Kent back in the seventies.

Slow left arm deputy for Underwood like your old club mate Andy Hooper.

Matt Henry was taken out of the over there for two high balls. Not often you see that.

    I feared he was injured!

I assume that is a ban from bowling again in this innings? Would have been expensive if he'd done it 2 hours ago!
  • Really had enough of watching claydon getting carted around each and every game. He's lucky we have no alternative.

Essex 337-7 off their 50. Coles hit a six when he came in.

Big ask to chase that in the dark in my opinion. Where's David Hughes when you need him?

    One for the oldies there....

I remember it well - the game finished at almost 9.00 and it was the Gillette Cup Semi so was probably in September too!

I remember that quite well and I was only 9. I don't remember televised cricket in those days, apart from Test matches and the JPL 2 pm Sundays BBC2.
