Banks, Cohen, Wilson, Stiles, Moore, Charlton (J), Peters, Ball, Charlton (R), Hurst, Hunt.... No disrespect to him, but the Armfield name is not there! He was a part of the famous squad, but not the famous 1966 team!
Fancy a 2-0 win tomorrow. COYA!
He would have been had he not been injured before the tournament, and Cohen played well in his place. A bit like the Greaves/Hurst situation.
I hope all those going to Blackpool will be able to join @SE7toSG3, @Rock Spectacle and @Badger for the joint fans tribute to the late Jimmy Armfield before the game.
Then enjoy cheering the lads on to another 3 points.
Praying the missing player isn’t Da Silva, not really sure who else can do that role at present, don’t want it to be Fosu or Mavididi as they’re pukka, anyone else we can manage I’d like to think.
It feels like an important game although I suppose if we win it guarantees nothing and the same if we lose. But it will provide re-assurance that we are likely to get a play off place so maybe that is why it is important. We probably need all the re-assurance we can get after the poor run we went on. Anyway - I hope we go for them and and am predicting a 3-0 victrory.
Interesting facts you didn't know that you needed to know, found whilst waiting for the kettle to boil; Despite not starting a game until our 20th match of the season, Joe Aribo has actually played more League minutes than Ben Reeves so far this season:
Today. The BASIL scarf is from the London supporters group
Well done to the Addics who have left a scarf already, remember 1430 tomorrow if your passing to pay respects to a true Blackpool legend along with their supporters
Three wins makes such a difference to a team. Would like to see Fosu on the bench and not be needed and would love a comfortable win. Might have to settle for a draw but I will go 1-0 Charlton.
