the invincibles of 2025. Let’s see if we can keep it up for a while regular season.1

Bissell what a difference she made when she came on. Forest a bit unlucky with the sending off for a second yellow.
But you have to take advantage of those circumstances and they did.1 -
Delighted we fought back for the win!Top of the league and undefeated in 2025.1

Unbeaten in 25 and the birthday girl grabs the winner.
Perfect ♥️4 -
Puts us 8 clear of 3rd place, 5 clear of Birmingham in 2nd, halfway through the season.
With 33 points up for grabs, we've taken 27 of them. Another half season like that and we're up2 -

The top two go up automatically and the third spot is a relegation/promotion playoff.Chris_from_Sidcup said:

The guts on this team!
If we're honest, it was another not-exactly-scintillating performance. Nottingham Forest are a good side, and aside from their goal, neatly finished from a knock-down at the back post, they had two other big chances: the first came from a ball over the top misjudged by Lucia Lobato and needed a diving save from Sophie Whitehouse, and the second was blazed high and wide under pressure. By contrast, we didn't create a great deal, often making the wrong decision or overhitting the final ball when we got into the final third so that their keeper didn't have much to do. No one was awful – though Amalie Thestrup came close – but no one stood out either, and you wouldn't necessarily have guessed that we were the team top of the league. For a while it felt like typical Charlton, needing one more result to achieve something special and then messing it up (and giving our rivals a big boost in the process).
Enter Emma "Lethal" Bissell. She made a huge difference, offering a better physical presence up front and helping us maintain the pressure on a Forest team down to ten for the final few minutes. Karin Muya scored the equaliser (I officially Do Not Care that her first effort was so weak that it turned into the ideal touch for her second), and then, as time ticked away, a cross from the left – none of which had previously been effective – ricocheted off a Forest player to Bissell, who turned and slammed it in. Everyone went potty, the players on the bench charging down the touchline to celebrate, and I fell over (worth it). Dare I say it: that's what champions are made of?
I know there are issues with how we play and create chances (I'm still not convinced that playing Charlotte Newsham on the left will get the best out of her and Jodie Hutton, for example), I know we haven't actually won anything yet, and I know that this is only the halfway point in a season where every game will get harder and harder. But to go the whole of 2025 unbeaten in the league is absolutely incredible, a sign of a squad with no little talent, defensive solidity that no one else can match on a regular basis, and the guts and mentality that have characterised every great Charlton team of the past. We've given ourselves the perfect springboard to go on and get promotion when we resume in the new year. To Karen, the staff and the players: thank you!
What a weekend for the club after the men's result yesterday. Merry Christmas everyone, and COYA!4 -
Thought Forest were very good today, 0-0 at half time was fair though Whitehouse had been busier than their goalie. Second half, Forest's goal came from a free kick that seemed to be given for nothing, but I suppose the fussiness of the ref paid off in the end. It looked like we had finally been found out (I've got imposter syndrome over our league position) but Bissell coming on was the changer I thought. Overall deserved win just from the team never giving up.2
