So, are we any wiser after last night?
Realistically, looks like its going to be 6th place,
    therefore...
    Thursday 10 May Charlton v Shrewsbury Kick-off 7.45pm

    Sunday 13 May Shrewsbury v Charlton Kick-off 5.15pm

    Is that right?

    Yep... basically

Unless we lose 2-0 and Plymouth win 4-0 on Sat. In that scenario, fixture chaos will break loose

    WRITTEN IN ERROR-

Scores should be the other way around
I.e. we lose 4-0 and Plymouth win 2-0

Or if we win and Scunthorpe lose we finish 5th

If that happens then Plymouth will be playing Shrewsbury and we'll be playing no one so hardly chaos.

wrong, if that happens then we have a play off v Plymouth to see who gets in the play offs

I was hoping there would be a ticket sale stage for non season ticket holders with away purchases but if the sale is being franchised out to an outside company perhaps this won't happen :(

Judging by your username, is Shrewsbury away a local game for you?

A rare local game, just about every other club apart from Walsall is at least 2 and half hours away. It was great having a local suddenly full of south Londoners, looking forward to round 2.

If Plymouth win 4-0 they'll have scored 60 and conceded 54.

So Plymouth would go into the play offs on goals scored.

Yes, scores the other way around would result in a play off between us
So if we lose 4-0 and Plymouth win 2-0

    I'm confused.

Surely this is the case, we would have scored 58 goals, and Plymouth would have scored 60, so therefore Plymouth would go through?

Rochdale scored 3 v Portsmouth in March !

But they also let in 3.

Rochdale also scored three against Shrewsbury

The difference is we dont need the win

If we're losing 1-0 and Plymouth are 2-0 up against Gillingham, I'd hope that we wouldnt be too worried about getting an equaliser

May have been mentioned but if teams can't be separated by goal difference or goals scored then they look at the two matches between the two teams (which in this case are also identical!).

Let’s face it. If Plymouth ease us out of that sixth spot then they will have deserved it.

Well obviously clever clogs but the point I was making as you well know is that the odds are very well stacked against Plymouth going into the games on Saturday and if they score 4 away from home in order to progress at our expense then that’s quite an achievement.

I think we need to pray that they outsource the semi final tickets as well judging by my dealings with the ticket office in the last 24 hours.

Scunthorpe will rest players now for sat so don't rule out a Bradford win

Wouldn't put it past Lee to 'rotate' on Saturday.

Not sure there's much need to rotate really, especially with many players being relatively fresh after period's out of the team. Certainly he won't need to risk players (e.g. Fosu, Dijksteel, Page) if they're not 100%

Charlton and Plymouth would have to contest a play-off match at a neutral ground to determine who finishes sixth, if the Addicks were to lose 4-0 at Rochdale and Argyle were to win 2-0 at Gillingham.

This would make the clubs’ points tallies, goal difference, goals scored and head-to-head records identical. The play-off match would most likely be contested on Monday, May 7th or Tuesday, May 8th.
