Alan Nixon (Sun journalist, usually reliable) implying that the Arsenal loanee is a replacement for Bauer who could head out on loan shortly with a view to it becoming a permanent move away in January.
Alan Nixon from the Sun hinting that Bauer could be loaned out now with the intention of him being bought in January with the Arsenal loanee coming in.
Losing Bauer is a huge mistake especially by loaning him a division higher, he stays and gets bought in Jan!
Lee Bowyer says that there has been no fresh interest in Nicky Ajose – with the striker playing for an ultra-young Charlton Athletic side in the League Cup on Tuesday.
The Addicks boss revealed before the campaign started that the former Swindon Town and Manchester United forward might have the possibility of a move abroad.
But Ajose, one of the higher earners at the club, is still on the books.
Bowyer – when asked about if there was anything on the go for the striker – said: “At the moment, no. Not that I’m aware of.
“Nicky’s situation abroad has gone, because it was more of a permanent thing.
“No-one has come in for any of our players. If they do we’ll think about it and go from there.
“Our squad is really thin at the moment and we can’t be chucking away too many people. When we start getting players back from injury then things might change – but the window could also be closed by then.”

Doesnt sound like any bids for BFG
Who are we possibly expecting back from injury before the end of August? Apart from Pearce aren't they all long term?

Bowyer will ensure he's not declared fit before the loan transfer window closes.

Ok Southend away is 1st september so window is shut Vetokele and Taylor up top

As I've said already though, just need to ensure and hope that the returning injuries arent going to be replacing anyone getting injured
Once the likes of Fosu, Clarke, Reeves and Igor are all back we can then make a charge up the table
Seems like a guess from Nixon at most.
If we really want rid, then we might as well keep him until January and then sell him.
Losing Bauer is a huge mistake especially by loaning him a division higher, he stays and gets bought in Jan!
Also goes to show the only budget afforded to Bowyer is a small % of wages cleared from the wage bill.
Until a takeover happens it's all about survival this season.

And he can only get better as his confidence grows.
There'll be a role for Igor when he's truly ready.
Great to have a player of his quality still to come in.
