Amos: 9 absolutely incredible and such confidence with Ben in goal.
Konsa: 8 best game for a while, well done.
Bauer: 8.5 won everything in the air, solid.
Pearce: 8.5 threw everything in the way, just wish he had a better turn of pace, but if he did, he wouldn’t be in this league.
Page: 7 hopefully gash to his knee isn’t too bad. Done well today.
Reeves: 7.5 worked exceptionally hard, just needed to release the ball quicker sometimes.
Kashi: 8.5 everywhere, was right up for it today.
Forster-Caskey: 8.5 see Kashi. Was very clever at times winning the ball back and free kicks to calm us down.
Marshall: 9 wow! So much better out on the left. Worked incredibly hard, was phenomenal today and my goodness that clearance off the line. For me, just pips Amos for my man of the match. Brilliant.
Ajose: 7 not a lot went for him in a game which was tightly contested. People judge him on the chances he has, but when it’s not like that, just look at how he works for us. Well played.
Magennis: 8 kept going and helped out all over the pitch. Pretty much played every position at times and was strong.
Dasilva: 7 slotted in nicely as we can expect from little Jay. Nice to have two very good left backs.
  • Amos: 10 - sensational, wins every single corner
Konsa: 8.5 - really good RB performance
Bauer: 9 - great partnership with Pearce
Pearce: 10 - great leader as captain and such fantastic tackling
Page: 6 - I know there's a bit of debate around this but his tackle for the yellow was a bit unnecessary and stupid
Reeves: 5.5 - decent dribbling... but only went sideways or backwards and then lost the ball
    Kashi: 8.5 - great tackling
    Forster-Caskey: 7
Marshall: 9 - amazing dribbling and passing, Blackburn struggled with his pace a lot. Shame he doesn't try to shoot a bit more
    Ajose: 5.5
Magennis: 6.5 - finally starting to do some great flick ons like the one leading to Ajose's goal against Portsmouth, but today nobody was trying to get on the end of them.
    DaSilva: 6.5 - solid

Marshall: 9 best I’ve seen him play
Ajose: 8 the low markers obviously didn’t see his work rate off the ball

That’s the first time in a very long time where I saw every single player battle for every single ball for the entirety of the game and it’s a credit to Bowyer and Jacko. The work rate off of the ball was very good and it showed as we beat a side (who still have stuff to play for) who haven’t lost in about 15 games. After a performance like that, there’s no reason we can’t take up. I just wish Robinson had pissed off sooner!

Not really fair to comment on other people’s marks, so I apologise. But Ajose played as well as Forster-Caskey?

Amos: 9 a couple of match winning saves as usual, buy him, now!
Konsa: 8 why didn't he shoot!
Bauer: 8 had a good game
    Pearce: 9 Leaders performance
Page: 8 - Feel really sorry of him, every time he gets going he gets injured.
Reeves: 7 Don't think today suited him, needed a battler
    Kashi: 8 played well
    Forster-Caskey: 9 ditto, had a great game
Marshall: 9 good game almost all defensively but some important interceptions and clearances
    Ajose: 7 little service
    Magennis: 7 little service
    DaSilva: 8 he's quality.

I've now lost my voice from the signing and shouting.

    Definitely this.
My first game for 2 years courtesy of Centre Circle invitation. Interestingly my table favoured Marshall just in front of Amos for MOM (although difficult to pick out one player) however John Humphrey was singing the praises for both Pearce and Bauer. Amos got it and was a very worthy winner!
  • Amos: 9.5 - Won us the game with some stunning saves
Konsa: 6.5 - Got better as the game went on
Bauer: 7.5 - Tough game for him but did well
    Pearce: 7.5 - Ditto
Page: 7 - Was doing OK bar his swing at the keeper; hope the injury isn't too bad.
Reeves: 7 - Worked hard but given little option when he had the ball
Kashi: 8 - Started brilliantly and did well to shut them down many times
    Forster-Caskey: 7.5 - Ran his socks off
Marshall: 7.5 - Loads of great defensive work and carried the ball well second half
Ajose: 6.5 - Worked hard but little effect
Magennis: 7.5 - Win his fair share of headers and refused to be bullied
DaSilva: 6.5 - Stood up well under pressure

Note - I also thought the ref did fantastically well (9/10!).

Amos: 8, Not as busy overall as I'd expect he'd need to be because the two red walls in front of him were so committed, but when called upon he was excellent again.

Konsa: 7.5, Defended well, getting us out of at least one spot of serious bother with his pace, and his size helps us deal with bigger teams compared to Solly. Would generally like to see some more attacking imperturs coming from him, but yesterday wasn't really the game for it, to be fair.

Bauer: 8.5, So solid, I think he's a bit underrated on here and should be in the conversation for player of the year more than he has been. Just as committed as Pearce but quieter.

Pearce: 9, I wasn't entirely impressed with some of his early season form, but he looks fully fit now and in a battle like yesterday you can see the huge value he brings to the team, particularly his leadership as he is a proper captain.

Page: 7, Sound. Couldn't get forward as much as in some games recently.

Reeves: 6.5, was too slow on the ball at times in attack which was a disappointment as we needed him to be the spark in Fosu's absence, but he battled away manfully with the rest of them.

Kashi: 7.5, His usual all over the place, total bloody nuisance performance. Blackburn had to work hard just to get to our back 4 let alone through it and he was a key part of that.

Forster-Caskey: 8.5, Probably my favourite current player. A proper midfielder, and you can see his pedigree. Better for us at this level than Dale Stephens was imo, and a similar kind of player which shows his potential level. People saying his form has significantly improved, but I personally think he's been close to this good all season. Either way, glad to see he's finally getting the credit he deserves.

Marshall: 8.5, Opitimised how we won that game. His work rate was off the charts, it was like having a Kashi on the wing. I'm wondering if he might be a better full back these days, because I just don't expect him to do much damage in the final third but in games like this and Shrewsbury he definitely has something to offer.

Ajose: 7, quiet game, like Marshal I think, quality wise, he's maybe a notch below some of our squad but he's working hard and is contributing which you couldn't always say about him in the past. Deserves to be involved.

Magennis: 7.5, tough game for the forwards, but Josh battled away, won a lot of headers and held the ball up really well. It was an even fight between him and their centre backs. I hope even his harshest critics can understand what he offers in a game like this.

DaSilva: 7, picked up where Page left off.

    Marshall: 7.5 hassled
Ajose: 6.5 could do with him getting involved more
Magennis: 6.5 did well in the air 2nd half, bit of a tugboat running with the ball at his feet though
DaSilva: 7 tracked and closed down well
