I thought that but also she is head of player care and there's basically no staff there, the players are allowed to organise something themselves and looks like they have. That alone is promising as I'm sure Tracey usually helps with these things!
It's been stated elsewhere on this site by people who are more informed than myself, that Tracey's departure has nothing to do with Nathan Jones, so speculation on that count can be safely dismissed.
Would you be kind enough to direct me to that post/info….Cheers.
What do you think I am, Your PA ? Go find it yerself, lazy sod 😂. Seriously though, it was put on here and it was, as I say, from people with inside knowledge of the club. I also believe that it's Tracey's personal business, Tracey's decision and when she is good and ready she may or may not decide to tell all, but, once again as I said, I am assured that it was nothing to do with Nathan Jones.
What he is saying is what you purport to have been said, he hasn't seen. I haven't seen it either tbh so your assertion was new to me too.
I can promise you faithfully that it was nothing to do with Nathan Jones. Was there a 'clash of personalities' between Tracey and persons unknown? I don't know ! Also, none of us know what Tracey's new position is, but let's just imagine that she has a position in the football industry, she has an excellent CV that includes thirteen years in a position of trust and dealing with 'chain of care', does anyone believe that it's in Tracey's interest to air any dirty washing in public ? Quite simply, those who are digging for some dirt on Nathan Jones are wide of the mark and the only question that I would ask is Why?

Why? Because we just got promoted, we had a good transfer window where we spent money and we've started the season well. This place has been a hotbed of chaos reporting for the past 15+ years, if people can't find something sinister in the background to have a big old panic about then what the hell are they going to do on here? Discuss the football? Behave.

I think something was said on the Dr. leaving thread, about there being a problem why they both have departed.

Yes saw that myself, and assumed that it wouldn't have been said like that if it didn't hold truth

Tracey was our most consistent performer in the last 13.

This is/was a fantastic thread with wonderful messages to Tracey (who let's not forget does read the forum at times).

Politely ask those being conspiracy theorists and similar to chat about it elsewhere and keep this thread to us being grateful for the extraordinary decade Tracey has put in to our club.
Best post on here, well done stoneroses.

    Heard she's joining Palace.

Just kidding! She's been brilliant and I'm sure she will still be around the club, as a mother of a player, but also as a fan.

She was by the tunnel and was coaxing the team to do the tunnel jump.  Would have loved to see a proper goodbye to her (but did not hear one on the day). Maybe she is still around for Leicester game?
The players did a presentation for her yesterday , but no Nathan , Rodwell which i think is appalling.  Wish Tracey Leaburn all the best , Charlton Legend
Get a grip, she will be truly missed but come on now. Just because NJ, Rodwell et al didnt say goodbye on a camera doesnt mean they havent spoke to her.

Not to downplay what tracey has done at all and she has done so much but the club has to move on and im sure it will survive, just like it would if anyone else were to leave.

Id also go as far to suggest its disrespectful to tracey to continue peddling unsubstantiated rumours, as its leads to people to discuss tittle tattle instead of talking about how great of a servant to the club she has been. From all evidence we can just see tracey has resigned for her own personal reasons, unless she actually says something to the contrary its best left at that and we celebrate an amazing ten years.

What rumours am I peddling? Charlton love promoting their videos. From a clubs point of view i would have expected atleast Rodwell to do a presentation.  For all the Amazing work Tracey has done for Charlton over the years . It's my point of view . If there's any Rumours going round I'm unaware of them . Just think Tracey deserved more . A great lady well respected by players and supporters

The presentation put out was the players showing their appreciation for Tracey. There appeared to be no other staff present. I'd be absolutely gobsmacked if there wasn't another presentation involving the rest of the staff. Not everything has to be shared with us.

If she wanted us to know she’d tell us.
Her son still plays for us so I’m guessing she’ll want to still come & watch him. Is she going to make that difficult for him or her family?
    Behave everyone.
Just stick to reminding her that we think she’s the dogs danglies & we will miss her always.
    Thank you.

But as said, Charlton like there videos which is great for us supporters , and as Tracey is extremely popular with Supporters if they had they would have video it and released it . It what a family/ community club would do , which is what makes Charlton a Great club

Very amused by the idea that any event that wasn't filmed for TikTok videos didn't happen. Looking forward to the new series of Jim Rodwell sat in his office taking calls about the training pitch irrigation because the supporters just need to see that #content

    So just to be clear.

@raytreacy69 said the reason why Abbott and Leaburn leaving was Jones.

@Bailey said someone in the know had refuted this. @SoundAsa£ asked where on CL  that rumour was refuted. Seemingly no one can find it. I certainly have never seen it and I  believe there would have been a lot of discussion about it.

@KBslittlesis said (I think) that she'd spoken to Tracey who was in bits about leaving. I read that to mean she was unhappy about her departure.

So until someone can direct @SoundAsa£ and myself to the post refuting Jones's involvement, I  will go with the version of a long respected lifer.

Good people leave business's for all sorts of reasons. Some good. some bad.Shit happens and the world keeps spinning.
Why does everything have to be a conspiracy?

For the record, I'd like to thank Tracey for her service. Memorably through some of the darkest days at this football club. Sorry she's going but I'm sure she will be an instant success wherever she goes.
     Thanks Tracey.

How many times do you have to be told. It was a presentation by the club captain on behalf the players. Scanning the room proved this.

Why would you expect anybody else to be there?

I am not a conspiracy theorist.  All I have done is set out the chain of events and  asked where said rumour re Jones's involvement was refuted.

I consider this important.  To lose two,  possibly more backroom staff as a consequence of one person, is a concern moving forward.
