One game on the tele, one game on the iPad.
  • Will be interesting to see how Group B matches play out later. Portugal could easily put 3 or 4 past Iran while Spain win 2-1.

Would mean Russia v Portugal and Uruguay v Spain..

im expecting portugal to get turned over.

Can you move that chair please, the way it's turning up the corner of the rug is annoying me

  • Something I've been thinking about regarding the way the knock-out rounds work - I think it would be better for the competition if instead of having certainty of group A playing B etc you had a draw for the knock-outs - so all the group winners in one pot and all second places in another - would make it fairer and stop any perceived manipulation to try and play for second place if it seemed beneficial. Just a thought.

    fair point,

but this is the organisation that gave qatar a world cup on footballing grounds
  • Second penalty for Saudi Arabia, going to VAR
  • First pen was saved by the 45 year old keeper!
  • That second pen has to be overturned for me.
  • Longest VAR review of the tournament.
  • Happy to see the Ruskies go out if poss

Ref reviews his own call and decides it was right... Hmmmm interesting. Not a penalty for me.
  • Given, taken, scored this time
  • Ref was told by VAR that it was reviewable but he looked at the footage and stayed with his original decision.
  • Russia goalkeeper Igor Akinfeev hasn't made a save at this World Cup yet. He's conceded three.

He's shit. Gets his defender to push the attacker out of the way for the Suarez free kick so he can see it struck, leaves about a 1 metre gap between him and the post............then still lets it in!

  • Was that a red card? Seemed harsh to me
  • Bloody commentary out of sync with the picture...not for the first time in this world cup.
  • Hoping Egypt win this. Need them to on my accy.

bit of a scissor action in the challenge - always going to be a booking in international football. Right call for me

was for 2 bookings so pretty deserved i think

Didn't realise that, definitely deserved then
  • Bit annoyed Russia went down to 10 though... will totally mess up the distance covered stats I was interested in having a look at at the end of the groups! Was going to be interesting considering the heat in Moscow today as well. Grrr
  • 4D chess from Putin.
  • Todays crowd cam guy needs putting on a re-training course I think... poor showing so far!
  • Always good to have a bit if disagreement between the pundits

I notice you only tend to get this with older pundits, especially those who've worked in management as well, rather than the younger "professional" pundits who tend to sing from the same hymnsheet
