I think I may be in the wrong thread for this sort of comment, but does anyone else find the level of hatred towards Taylor a bit embarrassing?
I can’t go on to #cafc on Twitter without people still going on about Lyle Taylor. People following Forest’s games just to catch a glimpse of a mistake. People wishing injury on him is also a thing.
I know football fans are fickle but this is so bitter, just move on. I’m no Taylor fan but what’s done is done, he didn’t do it out of malice, he did it to secure his family’s financial future.
I get people loved him so they feel betrayed, but a lot of them are grown adults, harbouring this sort of resentment for a footballer (who on the whole was great for us) will not be good for mental health.

No. His selfish actions played a big part in our relegation. He deserves the criticism he gets

I found it strangest on the last page when asked if they'd have him back and a bunch of people said Yes! Been calling him every name under the sun for the last 100 pages, but you'd have him back? Strange.
I wasn't as angry as others when he left us in the lurch but I wouldn't have him back, and I'm fairly sure Bows would tell him where to shove it if it ever came up too.

Not saying he doesn’t deserve stick. If he came back to The Valley I won’t be giving him a warm welcome.
I just find it a bit sad that grown men are reduced to such childish antics over a man who doesn’t know they exist.
He’s a very rich man living the dream. Holding in all that resentment isn’t good for you.
He'll probably start banging them in when he gets a solid run of games.
He can't keep Grabban out the team at the moment but I'd expect that to change since Grabban has done nothing so far this season. Hughton probably wanted to keep faith but can only wait so long I'd guess.

That’s football fans for you mate.
Yeah, I’m sure Bowyer would rightly tell him to do one. I just want us to move forward without having to hold all this baggage from the past.
I'm still confident that Hughton will turn it around for Forest and come the end of the season they'll be floating around the top 6. As much as it pains me to say it, I can also see Taylor playing a big part in that.

Hard not to agree with this. What he did to us was unforgivable and of course it hurt but as a grown up of 47 I can’t find it in me to allow myself to be eaten up by his actions. He’s only a football player ffs, there is so much more in this world to be offended by.
Apologies to anyone who hates his guts and wants this thread sunk, but interesting to hear Lyle moan about not having played for 5 months and the impact on his current time at forest

Starts in a top 2 with Grabban tonight in the East Midlands derby. Chance for him to become an instant fans favourite.
Crazy from the last manager not to play both Grabban and Taylor as a 2 up top.
I believe the last manager did play them up top together a few times this season, but could only do this in second half due to Taylor not being fit enough for more than 30 minutes in Championship football.
Lyle looks very much off the pace in a side with little or no spark, he looks 5 pounds heavier, not even new manager boost doing Forest a favour, losing to their nearest and dearest which will only compound their misery, it’s not even like he’s coming close and been unlucky.
We all want to believe it for our own spite against him, but he genuinely looks like he fucked himself over by fuckin us over, he could of had another 800 minutes in the tank before his move, do not underestimate the championship Forest could easily go down it’s a slippery slope as we know from 08/09 certainly no such thing as being too good to go down.
On the contrary Forest could win their next 4 games and be play off contenders and this post look stupid.

Does it? Does he have a family? Looked like he lived alone with pictures of himself in most of his videos from the Ebbsfleet house.
No but she smelt like she did.
She said kiss me where it's wet and smelly.
I said I'm not driving all the way to Grimsby.
Be hilarious if we crossed over end of season.
😉
