Isn't it about time we got over Lyle Taylor? I really don't care if he scores 25 or no goals this season. Same as Bonne. As soon as a player leaves Charlton I have no interest in him anymore.
This argument goes around and around...
For some people, when a player leaves Charlton, that ends their interest in the player.
For some people, when a player leaves Charlton, there remains an interest in the player and how they develop (or how they don't).
I'm in the latter camp.
As always, if there is a thread on a subject that doesn't interest you, don't read it...

Don’t open the thread then. I enjoy seeing him and his team do shit.

So, just as a matter of interest, what happens if Taylor suddenly comes good, banging in goals, and Forest shoot up the table, will this thread die, I have nothing good to say about Taylor, so no axe to grind here
Came on as a sub in the 70th minute. No goals in 5 games. I'm quite happy with this. Ive just seen a tweet by Jacqui Oatley that they pay some "massive wages at the club" so I expect things to go sour soon!
0 goals in 8 games it is for him now since Feb.
Bet he's really happy for Bonne and that he's managed more goals than him so far.

doubt I'd then comment, but all the while he's not scored and his team are doing shit, then it's funny
I think players have a different attitude to fans, as the club (for most) is just an employer, and the better ones have a chance to move on anyway
Ryan Fraser was pretty half hearted at Bournemouth last season, culminating in him not playing after the restart, something which contributed to them going down. Callum Wilson was one of the players impacted, indeed Fraser was one of his main suppliers of crosses
However, Wilson then gets a big move back to the PL at Newcastle, where he is playing alongside Fraser again, and they're all buddies once more. Indeed Newcastle signed Fraser AND Jeff Hendrick, 2 players who refused to restart...
Think Hughton could do very well there, obviously proven track record of getting out the Championship. For Newcastle they went up on 102 points scoring 90 goals, Brighton went up on 93 points and 74 goals and with Birmingham although they didn't go up 76 points and scoring 78 is not to be sniffed at.
Something like 30 senior players are in their squad so he has the tools.
despite everything he still deserves credit for this
I realise it's for charity but, let's face it, he loves the attention it gets him. It gets him in the limelight, centre stage. IMHO craving attention as much as he does suggests he's actually pretty insecure - possibly due to childhood stuff.
Taylor does seem like a very Hughton sort of striker. He's not better than Lewis Grabban though and they're quite similar so it might still be time on the bench for Lyle.

When he came on the other day I was quite surprised at how many commentators/fans were taking the mickey out of his hair. They clearly had no clue that he dyes it every October for charity. Seems Mr Taylor isn’t quite as well known as he thinks he is 🤷♀️
He said he’ll pay money to charity for every goal he scores in October. Last year that was £0, looks like it will be the same again this year. Lyle gets the attention, the charity gets no money...
212 minutes played across 6 appearances in all competitions with no goals or assists.
Big boy school not going too well for him. What a shame.
He prob doesn't care as long as he gets the money
I'm sure he'll care. He loves to be the centre of things, more than just a 'team player'. Even with bright pink hair the fans wont be chanting his name. Hey ho.

That’s true for more than one reason. Firstly they don’t know who he is and he’ll be lucky to be as liked at Forest as he was here before, secondly there aren’t any fans in the stadium so no is getting chants. He will miss it more when we can go back to games and still no one chants his name.

I have no interest in the X factor so my daughter and Wife watch in one room and my son and I watch football in another.

Might work out well for Lyle if the new manager prefers 2 up top which seems to suit Lyles style more.
