Crossbar Challenge - changed?

Did anybody else pick up on Brian Cole announcing that participants for the halftime crossbar challenge would be drawn from a combined pool of Valley Gold contributors and those who put draw tickets in a box with name and phone number?


That’s a change, right? Used to be just the lucky draw entrants, right?

The challenge is now, if the first person hits the crossbar they pay the club £500 if they miss it rollsover to the second person who pays them £1000 and so it goes on until someone is successful.

Brian makes sure that only hopeless people get to take the challenge, so that he gets to keep the crisps...

Yep, cash prize has gone and been replaced by a packet of Walkers Prawn Cocktail flavour. You're not allowed to consume them in the stadium though, due to the extra cleaning costs incurred from sweeping up the crumbs.

I think I  find a different thread each time to comment on the effort 
todays was decent enough , lifted up and over the bar for once rather than some of the pathetic dribblers along the floor .
think it’s up to £7k for the Swansea game !

Fellah did well but looked like he had won £7, either a Roland minimum wage risk reducing ringer or his dad made him do it and he was too cool to show any emotion. 

Either way, fair play to him and hope he enjoys the cash.
