Saudi journo missing presumed dead.

A senior police source told online news website Middle East Eye the journalist had been "brutally murdered, killed and cut into pieces".
"Everything was videotaped to prove the mission had been accomplished and the tape was taken out of the country," they said.

A friend of Mr Khashoggi, Galip Dalay, told Sky News that he "personally got the news that he was killed two days ago".

Saudi authorities however have rejected the allegations as "baseless" and said a team of investigators had been sent to the Turkish city to help look into the case.

He went into the consulate, but there is no footage of him leaving. Not sure how the Saudi's think they can get away with this.

    This story has gone a bit under the radar but his disappearance is starting to cause waves with the Saudis threatening, in response to Trump's threat if they don't come clean, to "match any action with a bigger one".

    Don’t worry Trumpie, the chief sweeper under the carpet, is on the case. Can’t have those arms contracts going tits up. Plus he needs to get the Saudi’s pumping more oil as his sanctions against Iran are already seeing world oil prices rise.

    Agree that is pretty much a given. Dear old Crispin Blunt was doing a bit of squirming on Newsnight last night about whether our wonderful trade negotiator Dr Fox should attend this big investment shindig the Saudi’s are holding.

    Malcolm Rifkind was much more blunt on R4 this morning. Said he should not go, period. But then Rifkind is an old school Tory with at least a modicum of principle when it comes to foreign affairs, not that the bar is set high for that.
    It really drives home the point of how far our politicians have fallen in quality and integrity when you start stacking up names from the even quite recent past and compare them against what we currently are saddled with.

    I get this is horrific but maybe I missed a bit of this story.
    Why is Trump getting involved? WTF is it to do with America? Why is it front page news everywhere?
    People die and disappear all the time so I’m not quite so sure why this is global front page news.

    Disclaimer - been mega busy lately so nowhere near as up on the news as I’d like to be.
