Not league games but in 1989 was in the Swindon and Blackburn ends at selhurst as Palace came back in the second legs from 0-1 and 1-3 first leg defeats fffs in the play offs . Also went to white hart lane courtesy of a freebie from bookies and was in a box when , i think , Arsenal won the league with a point at Spurs during their invinvcible season and Spurs equalised late on but the celebrations were bizarre from Spurs fans , oh great a draw and your rivals have won the league at your ground during a record breaking season , weirdos
I've been to a big league match in Italy. I got flights and tickets for my 21st birthday to Inter vs Juventus for a Serie A match at the San Siro in 2001.
The information on tickets was vague and it wasn't apparent where our entrance was, so me and my mate were walking round the stadium asking police where we are supposed to go. At each entrance they just kept pointing us anti-clockwise around the stadium until finally another copper confirmed we had reached our gate. Our entrance appeared to have a military presence guarding it with armoured trucks and riot police standing behind their shields, forming a large crescent around the gate to the away end.
Our vantage point was in the lower tier behind the goal. As soon as we got inside I met a lovely bloke who advised me in Italian not to speak English in Italy and to fuck off from where I was standing because that was his friends spot. I don't speak Italian but know that's what he said because it was kindly interpreted to me by his returning friend.
The Inter fans created a colourful atmosphere by dropping numerous flares into our block from the upper tiers. Deafening fire crackers exploded around our feet and meanwhile the police huddled in front of us, in full riot gear, getting pelted with bottles. Every so often a pack of a dozen or more police would wade into the rowdiest section of Juve fans, whacking indiscriminately with truncheons before retreating again.
It was pretty difficult to concentrate on the match while quivering with fear but it was an action packed game with both teams sharing a 2-2 draw. We had the pleasure of seeing Blanc and Recoba score for the hosts while Trezeguet and Zidane replied for the Old Lady.
Departing the stadium after the match I was expecting a war zone, however there was no police presence in sight. Without a map we guessed our way back to the hotel. We followed the crowd assuming they were going in the general direction of the city centre but as the crowd thinned out we realised we'd walked a few miles in the wrong direction. The pissing rain didn't dampen our spirits and we ended up sprinting across a busy motorway on the outskirts of the city to ask a guy in a service station to call a taxi for us. He declined to help us out but nevertheless, eventually, we made it back to our hotel at 4am before getting up at 6 for our flight back to Gatwick. A memorable trip to Milano. I've not been back since.
Edit: looked up the match on Youtube. For those interested it was in 2000 and Recoba didn't score at all so I dunno why I though he did. Some top names playing in this match.
Few seasons back when Leicester won the league, went to Spurs against Man Utd with my uncle who is a Spurs supporter. They beat them 3-0, enjoyed it to be honest.

Only non Charlton games I've been too have been Welling games - Once got asked by someone from scouts (yes I was one) if I wanted to go to a Palace game one day, put the phone down on him
It was a cup game rather than league - Olympiakos v AEK Athens - late 90s. I was doing work in Athens for Intralot on their new football fixed odds business and I was a guest of the owner of Intralot and Olympiakos, Sokratis Kokkalis.
I was so glad to be with the owner which gave us some protection, but the experience was unreal - I've never seen anything like it at a football match before or since. As we drove away from the stadium (with a police escort) the area around the stadium was like a war zone!
Can I have a cup game? Watford v Liverpool FA cup 1/4 final replay, 1986.
Terrible refereeing display from Roger Milford (nothing new there). Denied Watford a clear pen (although Barnes scored from the free kick anyway), and Ian Rush dived for the equalising penalty that took the game to extra time. Rush scored the winner late in extra time.

I wasn’t at that one but that was just after our 1-1 draw there pushed them into the play-offs. The Mayor of Middlesbrough got beaten up - no surprise, given the lack of segregation in the stands.

Dad took me to that. For a long time I couldn't figure out why we went to that game, but today I get to say "I saw Chelsea get relegated" so I guess he was right to get us tickets.
England v Poland in 1973. We were right in line with Norman Hunter’s mistake on the touchline. You could have heard a pin drop on the tube on the way home.
I also saw all the Euro 96 games at Wembley. Some cracking games after the dull opener against the Swiss.

I attended Roger Manwood school and virtually everybody at the school interested in football was going.
People should know that the reason for the big attendance was that Burnley brought 45K.
Everton won 1-0 to virtually seal the title to stop Tottenham winning it.
Off to Turin this weekend for Torino v Parma.

United won 3-1, Pogba got sent off. Was one of the best PL games of the 17/18 season.
Great fun sitting in the Arsenal end while they are losing.
