It’s not great, but we are getting half sniffs but we’ve got to do better when do get an opportunity in the final third, final ball has been very poor. We look vulnerable at the back as well.
Bottom line, you could argue none of the midfield are first choice in their position and it’s showing. Everyone’s touch, padding and decision making is just a bit less crisp and when the opposition is pressing the man in possession that weaknesses gets highlighted.
Looked a lot better last ten minutes but we are wide open on the right. Marshall on second half to protect dijksteel. Williams on with 1/2 hour to go to conjure up a 2-1 win
Thompson SSN: Charlton on top now and getting back into the game
Wouldnt quite say that... We got into the game more and didnt want HT but Sunderland by far the best team at the Valley this season and are a threat every time they go forward
Fosu / Pratley / Dijksteel have all been our weakest performers whilst Morgan is our sole player who seems to look like making something happen
I’m not sure Pratley actually touched the ball . The game is passing him by . Too many players have stinkers . Djiksteel , Pratley ,Solly , Bielik and Fosu. The one big plus is that we are only one down.
Only 2 players coming out with any credit at all are Bilek and Taylor
The centre-backs are doing well. Nobody's moving for them when in possession. Also Bielik is looking not as assured as usual IMO and Morgan is doing OK
Feel massively sorry for Djiksteel. Formation is hanging him out to dry. He’s got two men piling forward on him every time.
This is true, but he's still making poor passes and decisions
Fosu / Dijksteel's problem is they're too slow... they're getting into important areas and stopping which is just allowing them a chance to get into position and deal with any weak danger

Foul by Patrick Bauer (Charlton Athletic).
Poor.
Poor defending.
Poor passing.
Poor attacking play.
Poor ref (just for good measure).

Thompson SSN: ball did not clear first man, terrible
LB to blame.

Not out of it just yet... Next goal is vital
An early goal puts the visitors in the lead, but a promising end to the half for the Addicks and it's all to play for. #cafc
