That's the thing we learnt about Div 1 last season. They'll give you your first innings lead, they'll show you the win, then as soon as you inevitably take your foot off the throat, the foot's on yours
Seeing the Kent XI they look quite average without Denly, Billings and Matt Henry. Enjoyed seeing Kent last season in 50 overs and County games where Denly and Henry were in superb form, at Canterbury and Beckenham.

We can only hope that Renshaw and Kuhn acclimatise very quickly as we're playing Warks later this week
I worry about our bowling attack when we reach summer. I can't imagine the likes of Claydon and Stevo will be very threatening under a warm sun
Kent have named the same 13 for the game against Warwickshire starting tomorrow.
Meanwhile a joint Kent/Sussex 2nd XI have been taking on Middlesex 2nd XI. Middlesex made 362-9 declared of which a certain 17 year old by the name of Joshua Atherton made 157*.
One suspects that this will be a case of the apple not falling far from the tree and the lad is destined one day to follow in his father's footsteps.

I would say that Failsworth is quite a distance from St Johns Wood....

Somerset went from 111/7 to 243 all out in the third innings.
If we would have taken those three wickets for 57 runs rather than 132 runs, then our fourth innings score would have been a winning one.
Can we bring in another bowler?
May I stop dancing now, please ?
